I think God does give everyone at least one chance. We have missionaries sent out into the world to give people the chance to hear the gospel. I beleive the Bible also talks about their being different degrees of punishment based on how often people have heard the gospel and rejected it. You really should get a KJV Bible and read it. Do you need one sent to you? I keep Bibles that I try to get sent out to the reservations. Would you like one?
Lord Jesus Christ is the only way for eternal salvation from sins. Jesus loves you.

Well I JUST got my amplified Bible yesterday and am really excited to start reading, although I haven't had a chance yet.  As a Mom of 2 I am busy but I want to set aside at least 5 to 10 minutes a day to read  :)

I'm glad you received your Bible!  Hope you can adjust your schedule the way you want with adding in your study time, too.  :)

God always gives the opportunity to accept Him.  However, no one ever knows what will happen in our lives, when it's our time to go, and He doesn't want anyone to miss the opportunity to know Him.  Since the uncertainty of our life itself, sooner than later is of course the first and great thing to do.  However, it depends on people themselves, when they decide to accept Him, or never accept Him.  My dad did while on his deathbed, but how many don't or won't have even that kind of opportunity?

If someone is saved, and then backslides, he or she is still saved, and can recommit if or when they feel the burden to.  The only thing the Bible speaks of that will block someone from God's eternal life is when someone turns their back on God through blasphemy.

[dictionary.reference.com/browse/blasphemyShareimpious]  - utterance or action concerning God or sacred things. 2. Judaism. a. an act of cursing or reviling God.

[www.thefreedictionary.com/blasphemySharea. - A contemptuous or profane act, utterance, or writing concerning God or a sacred entity. b. The act of claiming for oneself the attributes and rights of God.]

[en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlasphemyShareBlasphemy - is the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for a religious deity or the irreverence towards religious or holy persons or things.]

The question is inherently presumptive since there is no valid evidence supporting the existance of a supernatural egregore capable of giving or, not giving "chances" to do anything.  Such presumptive questions are like, 'have you stopped robbing liquor stores yet?' asked of someone who doesn't do that.  As for any "punishments" fro rejecting superstitious nonsense; none can be proven to be in place since a book of superstitious hearsay isn't valid proof.

I beleive the Bible also talks about their being different degrees of punishment based on how often people have heard the gospel and rejected it.

I think as long as we breath God gives a chance at Salvation. As Jcribb said, the only condition against that is blasphamy of the Holy Spirit. Mark 3:28-29 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”) Which is the willfull, constant disregard for the power of God.

Jesus said the 2 most important commandments were to love Jehovah and your neighbor.....he also said he that endures to the end will be saved.God sees the heart condition of us all.He realizes we are human and sinners from Adam.We have to accept that He will be a fair judge.

Sinning against the holy spirit will NOT be forgiven.Judas was an example of that.

Yet God forgave Paul because He saw his heart was in the right condition persecuting xtians for the wrong reason.

God also forgave David for his sin with Bathsheba...but David was also punished for it.

Your welcome. :D

I always try to post a verse whenever possible during a Biblical discussion because that's what it all goes back to-The Word of God.

Don't just take what I say or what your church says,or what some preacher on TV says.READ YOUR BIBLE!That's the beginning of knowing God right there.

I'm always happy to help out people with common questions, because I had them too. I studied and read and listened to many more learned people. The answers to every question are out there if you're willing to take the time to understand what we believe.

...that's what it all goes back to-The Word of God.

The religious contention that the various 'bibles' are "the word of g-d" is a claim without evidence.

Don't just take what I say ...

Nothing you've said in regards to superstitious religious beliefs is taken as anything other than specious and false claims.

:) Yes, He is the God of a second chance.

That's an unproven religious belief, on several levels; being based upon blind faith in a religious belief, (in a circular fest of illogic).

Fundie answer:

Well of course there are those tribes that still live in the forest and will never, ever know the name of Jesus...in which case, it comes down to how "good" they were in their life when they die. But you modern folk, if you've EVER heard the name of Jesus, all of your good works are for naught if you don't believe the unbelievable!!!

Reality answer:

The question is irrelevant because it's like asking if purple spotted leprechauns from the land of Anywhere get upset when you cook chicken for dinner (hint: there are no leprechauns).
"It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."
