Have you noticed that vending machines are accepting visa and mastercard? I think its cool. Im glad they finally came out with that, because I dont carry cash, Im a swiper....

  I leave my credit cards at home or in the truck. If I want to buy something, I either pay for it or make a special trip out to the truck. Bizarre,but it works for me.

I like it that some vending machines accept credit cards. There's a lot less chance of me losing my change and getting robbed by those machines this way. I wish they all had the credit card option.

that's a very smart upgrade for them, though.
i hardly ever carry cash!

Really? I don't think I've used a vending machine since 13-14 years old. I remember them taking my money and then not giving me what I wanted.

I think I've seen the option, but I don't think I trust vending machines enough to use my credit cards. I'm sticking to cash. Of course I hardly ever use vending machines anymore either.

My only problem with this, is that it is too easy to run up your credit card charges.  I am very careful about that because we pay it off I pay it off in full each month

So do I! I never carry cash. I know allot of people think you will "need cash in an emergency" but it isn't really true. I went through hurricane katrina and you couldn't buy anything no matter how much money you had...

I have noticed this too. However, for  the convienence of using a credit or debit card at these machines, they charge an additional $1. Instead of paying $1.25 for a soda, I would have to pay $2.25. I would rather save the extra dollar and use cash or go to a store and buy what I want.

I agree I was just thinking the same thing, about soda's or snacks and things.

  Hmmnn at first when I read your post I thought wow I would never do that and then I realized that is not true because I like you NEVER carry cash which means if I go somewhere you can't swipe I am SOL - I hate it enough that my favorite local pizza parlor won't accept anything but cash and so i rarely go there because it means an out of the way drive to the atm (usually after dark) which I don't usually do.  So, yep that's cool.
