It's one of the saddest days of my life.  Obama will destroy this country and you best start planning on $8 a gallon for gasoline as he promised.  Do you have any idea what that is going to do to the cost of everything?

Are you going to continue to cry for another 4 years? Get over it! If that was his plan, the gas would already be $8.

Obama told thousands of supporters in Chicago who cheered his every word that "we have picked ourselves up, we have fought our way back" and that for America, the best is yet to come.

He vowed to listen to both sides of the political divide in the weeks ahead and said he would return to the White House more determined than ever to confront America's challenges.

"Whether I earned your vote or not, I have listened to you, I have learned from you. And you have made me a better president," Obama said.

The nationwide popular vote remained extremely close with Obama taking about 50 percent to 49 percent for Romney after a campaign in which the candidates and their party allies spent a combined $2 billion.

Let me just say this - I think the Democrats CHEATED AND LIED their way BACK IN!!!!  I don't believe a word this man says because for the past 4 years he has been SAYING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!!!!!  WE HAVE NOT SEEN ANY REAL RESULTS YET!!!!  UNEMPLOYMENT IS STILL A BIG ISSUE, THE ECONOMY IS STILL IN THE TOILET, THE NATIONAL DEBT GROWS FASTER THAN THE WEEDS IN MY GARDEN, PEOPLE WILL BE FORCED TO DO WHAT HE THINKS WE SHOULD!!!!  SORRY, I CANNOT SEE THE POSITIVE IN ANY THESE THINGS!!!!!!!!!!

Have it ever occured to you that maybe you are not qualified for the companies that do not hire you? Maybe you should look into that instead of blaming Obama. He have created many jobs in the U.S. and will continue to do so. I haven't seen one thing where he did not deliver as promised, and I watch politics on a daily basis.

I am elated that Obama has won a second term.  I do believe he is the best person to restore the middle class and work to create an America where EVERYONE has an equal chance to achieve the American dream,  Now that the Republican opposition sees that they cannot get rid of him even with the millions of dollars their supporters spent trying to do so, they cannot obstruct and prevent him from being elected to a second term,  and he will not be a  "One Term President", they may now start working with him to fix the mess they contributed to making of this country and accept his offer of bipartisanship.  They now have nothing to gain by not doing so. If they are being honest when they say they are concerned about the America they will leave for their children then the gridlock will have to dissipate.

momoney - I couldn't have said it any better than you. Right on point! Although, we know the petty Republicans don't want to meet us half way. They are too busy bickering and making up lies about Obama and other Democrats.

I think it sucks, But i feel sorry for Obama. Look what he inharited. Who is he going to blame now? Ooops there is the republicans who won't agree to his every whim. I also think most of the working class are going to really feel the pinch as are the seniors. I hope all of you are ready for what is comming, if the next 4 years are the same as the last.

Politics is convoluted in that it isn't only republicans who are obstructionist or, to 'blame' for eight years of causing the mess the president inherited, (no matter who is president now).  Four years isn't enough time to correct things that went askew even before those eight years of republican obstructionism.  Presidential decisions are nominally not 'whims'; they can't do whatever they want, there is too much compromise in any presidency to allow that.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

I'm not a big fan of the president but I am a big fan of our democratic system.  (Yes I know it is really a republic and not a true democracy.) So, I accept the will of the electorate and appreciate our freedoms.

I totally agree with you. They where telling us in Colorado that mail in ballots would be extended 8 days. I did a mail in that did not come back, but a lot of people did. They did not care about those votes. Obama mentioned in the beginning of election that he had us all in the bag. He never had me. I voted for Romney. I don't let it get to me that much because all I can do is all I can do, but the election was done wrongly and poorly. I worked on the Romney campaign and for a long time it looked like he was winning, but when some Ohio votes came in they called the election so what can I do? I just pray for the Obama family and hope they get saved and that he changes his wrong ways.

Poor thing! Romney never had Ohio or most of the swing states. He thought he did.

I don't think he thought he had anything. As part of the campaign effort we just prayed and did what we could. God allows things to happen for a reason. I am just praying Obama changes.

I'm not really into either candidate, but I thought Obama would win late into the election and feel that he will do better than Romney for the middle class and poor. Hopefully the next 4 years will be better than the last 4 and the previous 4 before that.
