Let's start a new story.  One sentence at a time.  I will give the first sentence.  Then one sentence at a time, let's build a good story.



James walked through the back yard trying to find the odd scratching noise.

The closer he got to the privacy fence the louder the noise got.

He wasn't sure what was on the other side of the privacy fence since the
new neighbors had just moved in last week.

From the looks of the new neighbors James wasn't so sure he should be investigating but he also was very curious and did not want to trespass but in his mind he knew he had to find out.

But first he felt he should arm himself as he picked up a discarded soccer ball, along with a well used baseball glove.

and headed down the path towards the field, where his friends were all waiting and wondering what he was bringing...

he ran towards them and quickly told them what he heard, they were excited and wanted in on the investigation.

It was a dark and stormy night....

and that just makes things seem scarier.  So the crew put on their rain coats and set out to discover what the scratching was.

They sure did feel silly when they realized...

They had discovered a cute, little curly-haired lady poodle scratching at the fence, crying, trying alone to release her puppies.

so they laughed a bit and hurried over to help when they saw.....

that she had rescued all of the puppies but one which had gotten stuck in the mud.

After all the puppies were safe, they headed back home to get out of the rain.

Once the guys got home they started to wonder how long the puppies had been out in the cold, rainy weather.
