I have seen you reply to a quote about faith that had no reference to religious faith.

No, what I posted was 'I stated no such thing, (trust or, confidence in own's own abilities and inner strength is definitely Not equivalent to blind religious faith). That makes your false assertion an outright lie.'

You must have cognitive deficiencies.

Since your assertion was contradicted by actual evidence, (as opposed to your insistant lie), any cognitive deficiencies in this regard are entirely yours.

misconstruing things like you usually do does not make a fact fiction. calling something a lie does not make it so...here is my evidence.

Fail. That's not "evidence" supporting your second contention since your first contention is illogical, (since it's not based on logic), and therefore, it serves as evidence supporting my contention.

It is always exciting to have a discussion on a forum (other than questions like: "do you prefer red or blue?").

(I will try to iron out my quoting issues as time goes on)

Here is the first post I ever made:

Hi all,
New Member here.

I watched ol'buddy and his vids. And decided to take the plunge!
I just got a loaf of French Bread started and its on its first rise cycle. I decided to come and make some bread here too.
What kind of things do you do to break up the "work" of doing surveys and offers etc. ?

Hello, new person and welcome to FC.  Doubtless you'll manage to find what works best for you as time goes on however, here's some ideas to get you started:

There are several daily offers, e-mail, surveys, human tasks, videos and weekly contests/promotions which generate anywhere from $0.27 to another $6.75-$8.00 potentially.  Even doing just the "dailies", (no surveys or paid offers), one can generate $8.33/month or, enough to cash out in three months.

That reply was from Falcon9
I thought he was quite helpful. And it was nice to get a quick response. Gauging by his post count, i am assuming he is a mod. In any case i was glad to get the welcome, remembered the name and was happy to get other replies too.

I have seen some of falcon's other replies to posts about religion and other things. whatever. I was raised to despise religion. When i was a kid in the 80's i would call the 800 numbers for the televangelists (james baker, robert tilden oral roberts etc.) and get all their free prayer cloths, posters, pleas for money calendars until assured destruction etc. My room was covered in them. We all had a good laugh (I thought I was doing a good thing by wasting their money). A few years later they started to make the news and we know the story about that.

As I have grown older (I'm 42 now) I have learned to accept that people believe what they believe. There are plenty of schisters and assholes who are religious and plenty who aren't.
My mother, who raised me, got cancer 15 years ago or something. She turned to the religion she was raised in. She was certain it helped. But, she turned her back on it immediately that it wasn't convenient.
Now, being the scumbag that she is, she is spouting the liberal talking points that radical Islam, isn't. She's an idiot. That doesn't mean that all baby boomers are etc.

When I had a severe car accident and suffered from some head trauma, I never turned to religion and I told the nurses and doctors to *bleep* off. I set my own nose, shoulder blade and repositioned the orbit in my eye. It worked out mostly. But, prior to seeing the nurses and doctors and hospital....I spent some time in a swamp trying not to bleed out. During that 8 hour ordeal I saw the lights in the sky and tunnel and figures and ghost like thises and thats. Saw what i thought could be perceived as the entrance to hell, saw my body laying in a swamp (from above), pinned against a log, trying to stop the bleeding from my nose, eyes and ears....Later on, I talked to my spiritual brother about it. Maybe I was wrong about all this religious stuff? I don't know. His best response was..."well I have a good relationship with Jesus."

That sealed it for me.

I have a friend who is an engineer. I was stunned that he believed in creationism. I still respect his views on everything else and know him to be an intelligent fellow. We never fought about it.

I think it was Benjamin Frankllin who said; "never argue with an idiot. People might mistake you as one". The point is that you can tell someone what to think. Everyone makes their choice at some point.

You're assuming that "from whatever" vaguely included hypothetical supernatural egregores and, since it was vague, maybe "zcote" will clarify that point, (or not).  Either way, that's not the part which I remarked was well-said.

So, in reply to Falcon9's question about my intentions when i replied....

Nothing wrong with that.

I don't know Falcon9's motivations (that some others have berated him/her for). His/her posts can be helpful and interesting. I am in the assumption that he/she is more along the lines of a skeptical inquirer rather than a preaching atheist. I don't know.

I'm glad that falcon9 ticked so many of you off. So much of this stuff is so boring.
Its a forum. Its the internet. Have fun.

And I hope that it made sense before we all got off topic on this off topic post.

It is always exciting to have a discussion on a forum (other than questions like: "do you prefer red or blue?").

My own theory in that regard is that some members use such "off topic throw-aways" simply to boost their post-count.  Regardless, I generally don't participate in those threads.

(I will try to iron out my quoting issues as time goes on)

Well, I'm not an FC mod, despite the post-count.  There are currently two "platinum level" members and this simply means we've posted more than 4,000 times, (no special priviledges are currently attached to any membership level except the temporary posting limit at/around "newbie" level).

I have seen some of falcon's other replies to posts about religion and other things. whatever. I was raised to despise religion. I'd never tried that, nor have I ever been a member of any judeo-xtian or other mainstream "religion" however, I did develop an ability to reason logically at an early age and was able to reject superstitious religious beliefs on that basis.

As I have grown older (I'm 42 now) I have learned to accept that people believe what they believe. There are plenty of schisters and assholes who are religious and plenty who aren't.

I went through a hard time with my first daughter's biological dad so I decided to move to Colorado. It was there I started attending Fountain Independant Baptist Church and got saved. I needed to realise everything Dewayne had done to me was nothing compared to me constantly rejecting the eternal salvation of Lord Jesus Christ. I saw this movie called, "Fire Proof," which really opened my eyes. I then started approaching the Bible sceintifically and came across the story of someone who had to stick their hand in Jesus' side to beleive. It was like me at that time. I saw this youtube video as well about Brian Welch who is the former guitarist for the band, "Korn," which is a band I often used to listen too. The video talked about how he got saved and how he gave up so much and how God bless him in return. You can find it on youtube by typing, "Brian Weltch I Am Second." All of this showed me that JEsus Christ is indeed the Son of God. He went to the cross for me and died in place of all our sins. I just had to accept that with faith. I did and so much in my life changed. I forgave Dewayne, meet someone in my church, and got married. We now have another daughter named Alicia. I used to be that gothic girl who studied witchcraft and I am proud to say I got ride of all that stuff when I got saved. I grew up in a Christian household, but I did not follow it. At one point I was religious, but not saved. When I did finally get saved I was learning how to be truly happy. My work stopped being for me and started being to others. I want to give you all the chance to talk about how you got saved.
God bless you baby girl. Im shocked at how many people take the opportunity to do there daily post to get open and honest, i like the forum more everyday, i stay away from all social networks, gossip is evil, and "social" sites often rape us of our precious time, love to hear someones heart so full they just want to pass it on. the Lord hears you and must proclaim proudly "thats my girl!" :female:

Thank you for sharing your testimony.  You've been through a lot and I'm glad you are at a point in life that you know exactly who you are and I really hope things continue to be well for you and your family.  I didn't realize the former guitarist for Korn had gotten saved - that's really neat to know!  Congratulations on your decision for the Lord, for your new marriage and for both of your daughters.  I'm happy for you.  :)
Thanks for the nice post. Right now I am in a pretty good place. I don't have a job but God keeps making a way to provide. I used to be a totally different person and happy where I am now. My interests have changed. Lately I have been thinking about this big Falcon issue some many people on here are having. I got to thinking why Falcon is doing that. It might be because somewhere along the way Falcon got hurt by someone who claimed to be a Christian. I have decided not to be the type that tries to hurt his feelings even though he tries to hurt others. I choose to pray for him. In a big way I wish I could just give him a hug and tell him God loves him regardless of what hes doing now. I know someone's forever can be changed by, "Jesus loves you." I dont want to be the one that he has anything bad to say something against me personally. If he has a problem with God I hope that changes. I choose to be positive regardless. I pray for Falcon now everyday. I hope that things go well in his life even after all the things he has said.
Lord Jesus Christ is the only way for eternal salvation from sins. Jesus loves you.

I rather be irrational than be like you. That is a great testimony. I became a Christian very young and have stayed that way all my life and am greatful to a loving Father who accepts us for who we are, not what has happened in the past.

That's your choice; to embrace unfesible irrationality and the false hope which stems from such an illogical decision.

Lately I have been thinking about this big Falcon issue some many people on here are having. I got to thinking why Falcon is doing that. It might be because somewhere along the way Falcon got hurt by someone who claimed to be a Christian.

Other xtian blind faithers have already tried that one; no, no xtian has been able to "hurt" me either now, or in the past.  The reasons for my opposing xtianity as a whole have been posted here.  It's a blood-soaked 'death-cult' and I will continue to oppose such deceptional blind faith.

I have decided not to be the type that tries to hurt his feelings even though he tries to hurt others. I choose to pray for him.

I've stated before that I find such 'magical intercessory rituals' performed by superstitious fundies on my behalf to be insulting and requested they desist.  If you superstitious xtians still choose to fling such insults, I have pagan associates who are quite happen to perform 'darker magic' on your behalf in return, (under the auspices of the "golden rule").

In a big way I wish I could just give him a hug and tel...

I don't hug xtians; one doesn't know where they've been.

I dont want to be the one that he has anything bad to say something against me personally.

It's a bit late for that, fundie apple.

If he has a problem with God I hope that changes.

The only "problem" being that there's no valid evidence to support the existence of such a supernatural egregore which you fundies claim exists.
Oh, and the various atrocities committed by religious zealots under the blood-soaked banner of their religious beliefs is a "problem" as well.

I pray for Falcon now everyday.

Fine, I'll advice those pagans I know to proceed with their rituals on your "behalf" in return.

Since when is a 'flame' post "very nice"; when another xtian hypocrite is flaming a non-xtian, non-hypocrite?  Apparently so, hypocrite.

No, it's an example of the malignant effect such religious indoctrination at a "very young" age can have and this magnifies the cognitive damage such superstitious early indoctrination can have as well.
