Best tablet depends on what you use it for.  Check out the new Google Nexus which is good and low priced.  If you read a lot and have Amazon Prime, the Kindle Fire HD would be best.  iPad Mini is good, but not the best even though it is the most expensive.  These are all 7 inch tablets, so if you want a 10 inch, try the Samsung Galaxy Note or iPad.
