Hey All FC members, I really like all types of music, Give it to me slow, fast, mellow, sweet, rough and rugged. Mix them all up, and enjoy.

This description fits my musical taste as well. It's all about my mood.  8)

I like the Old School Songs.  They have messages that really reaches inside of you.  I do buy some of the current music if I like it well enough.

I like Nicki Minaj...I like Maroon 5, I like alot of country...but not too many of the new artists appeal to me.  I still like classic rock and country.

I watched the lyric video to Joel Crouse’s If you want some.  It’s a nice laid back kinda song along the lines of the stuff Georgia Florida Line does and I think it’s neat to emphasize the lazy laid back theme of the song they write the lyrics all over records and tapes rather than cd’s or on the screen of Ipods.  So it’s representing a more laid back period of time.

Watched Justin Bieber’s All around the world music video and the screaming fans are louder than his singing.  You can barely hear whatever he is singing or trying to sing based on your opinion of his music.

I love the way Nate Ruess lead singer of Fun pronounces every word with his mouth in full.  Usually singers sing words but when you watch their mouth their lips are barely moving.  When he sings it’s with his whole mouth and that is a joy to see.

Watched Olly Murs Troublemaker music video.  The song itself is okay but the video is hilarious.

I agree when someone started complaining about taylor swift and how her latest album is not country.  That’s why I consider her not only a fade but a sellout.  It’s the same thing that happened with Faith Hill and her Cry album.  When you start becoming more famous through the Pop world you sacrifice Country for it.  That’s why I stay with people who are loyal to Country Music and not to popularity or fame.  People like Brad Paisley who was actually approached to make his songs pop (like make new versions the way Shania Twain did for Come on Over).  He flat out said, “No.  I’m country.”  Country music needs more artists like him.

I have to say that I’m conflicted about whether I actually like Blake Shelton or not.  He doesn’t seem to have a style and since he’s been on the Voice (which increased his popularity so he’s now winning all the country awards for Male Vocalist) his style is heavy on the Pop/Rock than country especially his latest song Boys ‘round here.  The only thing that actually makes it country is the lyrics.  The sound itself isn’t country.

I'll just stick with the classics, most music that gets produced today is pure crap by mainstream "artists"

I miss the old female singers of the 80’s and 90’s.  The ones like Pam Tillis, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Tanya Tucker, Patty Loveless, Reba (well, she still sings).  From the first note out their mouth you knew who sang.  Each one had a disnect voice and took songs that only they could have sang.

The problem with today’s country artists is that every one sounds like everyone else and every song isn’t exclusive to that artist they could be song by anyone or everyone.  That’s why I always return to the old ones like Tracy Lawernce, Mark Chestnut, Pam Tillis, Tanya Tucker.  That’s when Country was at it’s prime.  Now it’s just a shadow of what it used to be.  So sad.

I realize that pop has always been a part of Country.  I mean Patsy Cline always ended her concerts with one pop song.  However, like the Tim McGraw song ‘Back When’ I can’t stand the fact that they’re putting pop in the country.  As each year passes unless someone is singing about life on a farm or an actual honky tonk country music is less country and more pop.  I will say that if I start hearing synthesizers in country music I’m gonna stop listening to it.
