I have 2 little kids. I shop for Christmas all year long.
See a yard sale...pull over and buy a box of toys for a few dollars.
See VHS tapes....buy them in bulk.
In the spring, buy next winters clothes on clearance.
Go to an estate sale on the last day, take all the left over holiday decorations, candles, cards and wrapping paper.

Yep. I started my shopping last january.

My real name is Zac Cote Search Google. Find Me with Wonkas Hat

I have talked to all my family and I have been quite serious that I do not want to do Xmas exchange this year.  It's not really worth the money.  I don't know what ppl want, and most of my family doesn't NEED anything.  I don't want them to purchase anything on me.  I'm really trying to focus on bills, and honor the time spent with ppl not the dollars spent on them.
I have acknowledged that the newest baby in the family will get something, but it'll be clothes.  She'll only be 4 months old--refuse to waste the money on a toy she'll never play with.

Haven't started shopping yet....waaaaaaay to early for me! Need to get that extra money first. I don't plan on spending too much this year, because me and my husband have decided to do a second honeymoon to Vegas the last week of January. So, we won't be getting anything for each other, but the families, they will just get some small stuff. Hey, it's the thought that counts! If you are out there shopping already, be safe and have fun!

Same here. I need to keep building up my savings. I plan to shop for my hubby, mom, and dad. I'm trying to figure out what to get my dad because he has all the latest technology.

I try to shop a little throughout the year.  It makes it easier when it comes down to the deadline.  I love the whole process of shopping and wrapping and giving.  It's a fun tradition in our family.

I haven't started, but I started saving for xmas gifts already and I do online survey too to come up with xtra money for xmas. So far I have 150 + 100 of survey money for xmas. It's funny that I bought my daughter a cheap tablet. It was suppost to be for xmas, but she was with her dad when he went to get mail and they open the box. So there goes the suprise. Now she uses it. Should I buy her another gift? HUM  ???

We have not started yet. About Thanksgiving time we will start shopping for some gifts. We have also done some
last minute shopping over the years.

I hand craft all my gifts,  be it  breads I make,  canned goods or cookies platters.  I love baking so everyone gets some special treat.  Hard to put an amt of money I spend on that.  I just do :)

I'm figuring I'll spend between $100 and $300 but have not started shopping yet.  I usually wait until later on.
