When I was younger I lived with my mother, but now that I'm graduated from college I live out on my own. I used to use FC back when I lived with her, but now I live in a completely different state. Would my mother be allowed to join this site and use FC without causing us any issues since we no longer live in the same household and haven't for the past 2 years or so? We even live in different states about 140 miles apart!

Thanks!

Being in different states means different IP addresses and that doesn't violate FC Terms of Service, (same household/same IP would).
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

True falcon, but I think what he means is she would be joining with an IP address that he has used to log onto FC in the past (even though he is currently using a different IP address in a different state). I have no idea what the timeframe would be or if there even is one for this matter. But since he has used that particular IP address/household to access FC in the past, once she joins it might still show that multiple users have accessed FC on the same IP adress..

gafee, you should open a support ticket with FC first and make sure it is okay. Even if it would show as multiple accounts in thier system, Im sure if you explain to them the situation they will allow it.

Though FC's prohibitions regarding more than one user per/IP address apply, my reply was predicated on the reasonable assumption that the OP wasn't travelling across state lines for the first time in two years just to have multiple FC accounts.  Naturally, FC decides their policy regarding time intevals, not us.

I agree with submitting a support ticket on the matter however, doubtless others would benefit from knowing FC's policy in this instance too.
