I Have never voted before really wanted to but just doesnt seem like i have much of a choice? I`m 47 so i worry about retirement i`m not far from it ,but i`m also middle class so i want to have to pay more taxes,just so confused by it all  Anyone have any pros and cons to help me decide?

I'm not one to pick one or the other for anyone!! If you are 47 and have not yet voted, that to me is awful strange!! I would think if you worry about things that may affect your life, you would educate yourself on the facts of your local and federal Politicians. There are area's that you can research a certain politician and what way they seem to vote and pick from the way your specific interest is and how close a Politician is alligned and how they vote on those direct issues. Make sure they don't just vote present!

well i live in a very small community dont drive and have never really been to far from my home! other then to take kiuds to school or store or beach

 :wave:If you don't vote, you don't have the right to complain about who's in office. As a citizen you should excercise your rights and vote! Our economy is only going into deeper debt with fewer and fewer jobs abvailable. The same direction does not make any sense.

I make it a point to vote every election. We cant complain when someone gets into office that we dont like if we dont do our part to put who we want in office.

You need to verse yourself on each Candidate.  No one should pick who YOU vote for but YOU.  As far as leaving the house to vote, you don't have to.  There's a thing called an "Early Ballot."  They send you your ballot via mail, you fill it out, then send it back in the postage paid envelope.  Of course, you have to be a Registered Voter to vote in the first place.

I am already retired so I can understand your concerns (they are real!!).  As for choosing a candidate to vote for well, that's just personal preference in your belief of which one will represent you best overall.  I couldn't give you advice (cause that would be wrong) but, you need to learn what issues affect you and think and research for yourself each candidate that you are leaning toward, then based on your research and learning, make a decision if you feel that candidate is worthy of your vote or not.  I wish you much good luck with the process.  One thing is for sure, DO NOT BELIEVE THE MEDIA - THEY ONLY TELL YOU WHAT THEY THINK YOU WANT TO HEAR AND ARE USUALLY VERY BIASED!!!!!!

You should Google the candidates, visit their websites, research their past voting records and find out the things they have supported or have not supported and how consistent they have been in conveying their true ideas, because obviously there is a lot of "lying" going on in this campaign and some candidates are saying they support certain things just to get your vote.  Beware of a candidate you don't feel you can trust.

I guess I would have to say, what has the government done the last 4 years and if you like what you see, keep it going, but if you don't, try the other option.  I know that if the present president has spent more money than all the other presidents combined....that is one big red flag for me! It's got to be more than women's rights or race that determines our president.  We have to get this country back in working condition or none of the other things will even matter!

It depends what issues are important to you and which side you're beliefs lie on.  Most important is to register and find your polling place or apply for an absentee ballot (may be too late some places).  This election has a variety of issues from domestic energy sources to equal pay for women to medicare being subsidized by private insurance companies to job creation to taxes to a timeline for leaving Afghanistan to government healthcare to women's access to birth control to pro-life/pro-choice to gay marriage to access to higher ed.  There are plenty of articles online, fact checkers, videos on the presidential candidates.  For your local and state candidates look for yard signs for the names in your district (they were just changed in some places), watch the news or read the newspaper and then do some research yourself.  Again it would depend on what issues are important to you and where your personal stance lies.

I think every one should have voted  because thank to the ones that did not vote we all are stuck with Obama for four more years and it is going to be BAD on the middle class familys.
