Selling your crap on facebook

So I don't know about any of you, but in my town someone has organized a virtual garage sale on facebook - it's a group you join and post your stuff to sell.  I got kicked off of ebay (long story) and craigs list wasn't a big hit with me, but this virtual garage sale is the bomb, I have been selling a lot of stuff that I don't use but didn't really want to just give away for free so has been sitting around.  Such a life saver, if there isn't one in your town maybe you could put it together - it would be appreciated I am sure

There is a group like this in the town where I live.  I have never used it, but do know some people who use the site.

Just found a place called Listia for buying and selling  stuff.Seems you use points to buy and sell looks interesting i think if you have say a bottle of nail polish you ask for 200points and then if someone wants it you make points so you can buy stuff for points i'm a little confused  will have to go back to that site it's called Listia.

Well in the start of your thread you said Selling your crap on facebook, so that goes to show what your thought or thinking you were doing. Maybe you should have thought of a way to come across to the buyer or maybe you should have not had the mind frame you was selling crap.

I know people who do this as well. It's grown into a big thing here. I have never tried it though.

I have enough beef with using Facebook for social interactions. I probably won't devote time to using this as a way to sell things, which I do periodically with eBay and Craigslist. Both of my current options are generally reliable already, but of course I don't really sell "crap."

I've had better luck with Mom2Mom sales than garage sales EVER... I'd rather donate the stuff or for big things try and sell on Craigslist.... Good to know about the FB thing, not sure if I will ever try...

That sounds cool. I don't know if there is one for this area or not. I would like to know more details. I do not have time right now to consider doing this myself.
