I try not to curse and have since my son way very young.  I cannot believe the language used by young people at the casino where I used to work.  It's very sad!

I think curse words or 'bad words' are relative.  If we took out every word that you considered to be a curse word then other words would take over and be considered bad.  Therefore I feel it is impossible to take those words out of every day life as it is all about how people look at it.

No, I don’t use cuss words whenever I engage in conversations with people. It’s very hard on the ears – especially when it’s from a female mouth.  :sad1: There are plenty of people that talk like that (F**k’n…. whatever) like it’s normal. It becomes a bad habit. Just imagine how many times it is used in a sentence per day. :o

for the most part, I watch my tongue. if you are a Christian especially, it would look bad on you if you were to use curse words. there are comedians that can be quite funny
without the cussing. Jim Carrey is one of them that knows how to control his tongue.

I used to not curse; I thought it was undignified and I am a lady.  However, I curse now, and that is because I get pissed off at my husband.  He knows how far to go with it.  He rubs me the wrong way and then he figures I forgot it.  I am like an elephant; I forget nothing. I have heard women curse because they have a chip on their shoulder.  I try to be nice, but people rub me the wrong way too and I am not that resilient. >:(

There are no "bad" words. It's the intention behind a word that makes it bad.

I'm pretty good at using bad words  ;D

Seriously, I tend to only use them if I'm angry or sometimes with friends to show extreme emotion. I tend to use them only when alone or with my close friends (all of them also use vulgar language; some even compare themselves to rowdy sailors). When I'm at work or with family, I try to control what I say.

When I was younger and playing soccer, you could be Sent Off (shown a red card) if you used offensive or abusive language. And since we were young at the time, the refs made a point to do so any time anyone cussed. As a result, we'd get creative in finding substitutes. So I used my grandmother's "Sugar" for the S-word, and "Fahrvergneugen" for the F-word (usually I'd just say this when I was in pain, so I'd first bite my lower lip and breath out an exaggerated F-sound, before remembering that I couldn't swear so I'd finish with the rest of the word) At the time, VW was using the term "fahrvergneugen" in their ads, so I actually got some people to chuckle when they heard my "swear" word.  :-X
