think
« on: October 11, 2012, 09:33:05 pm »
Through my life there's time to run and time to pray;
in the moment i must remind myself to stay.
Do a good job an actor is told to break a leg;
should they win an emmy or walk around with a peg?
The letter or the spirit should I heed?
time to sit and think what is it they say I need?
Take things with a grain of salt or to seriously;
look beyond the words to find the true meaning is what it means to me
but then again, ive been known to fib ;')

"Prayer" is a magical intercessory ritual based upon blind faith.  It has no intrinsic/verifiable utility.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Okay, Falcon9.  So...the results associated with the "power of prayer" can't be verified.  Is there anything that exists metaphysically that can be verified?

When you come up with stuff like that you're advertising the fact that you're left brained and narrow minded.  You're also a button pusher.

He's sharing a poem so lighten up.   :heart:
Have a great day!

Not that I'm aware of.

When you come up with stuff like that you're advertising the fact that you're left brained and narrow minded.  You're also a button pusher.

On the contrary, I don't allow the irrational "right brain" to dominate the "left" and my posts subtlely reflect that dynamic balance - perhaps too subtlely for you to discern.

I'm aware of that and was noting an objection to some of the content.

I too like jspj1971's posts.  I like the poetic word and as far as falcon9 is concerned, I don't give him or her much thought.  Falcon9 just likes to ruffle people's feathers, don't let it bother you, just not worth it.  Have A Great Day!!!    :peace:

Apparently, you don't give much very much thought before posting an empty opinion.  It may be better for you to take the ostrich route and put posts which require thought on ignore.

Falcon9 is that all you got?  Apparently empty opinions are where you usually come from.  If you have nothing to say then don't open your mouth because no one's listening anyway.     :bs:          :peace:

No, I've got the ability to reason logically, which is something you apparently lack.

Apparently empty opinions are where you usually come from.

That's a good example of an empty opinion because it lacks substantiation.

If you have nothing to say then don't open your mouth because no one's listening anyway.     :bs:          :peace:

Since I've posted considerably more than "nothing" and have gotten responses, (including yours), some are manifestly "listening"/reading.  Your opinion is therefore invalidated by these facts and is, as contended, shown to be empty.
