October = Halloween...

Halloween will be here before you know it.....what Halloween traditions do you and your family have?  Going to haunted houses?  Corn mazes? Trick or Treat? Dress up in costumes for work or school??

My favorite part of Halloween is the Haunted Houses and the candy

Growing up My favorite things about Halloween were carving the pumpkin,Trick or treating and hayrides.
I feel bad that many children don't have the chance to go trick or treating or go on hayrides anymore. to me is was one of the great things about being a kid! :wave: :peace:

I love to decorate for Halloween, but my favorite part is taking my kids trick or treating. Many people still give out candy for the kids and it's really great to walk through the neighborhood with my kids, especially if the weather is nice.

For my girls it is selecting the pattern they want for their pumpkin( scary for the 17 and cute for the 10), then carving it. The 17 year old does her own now but we still help her sister. Decorating the house and front lawn. Of course picking out their costumes is always great. Pat does volenteer work with rescue cats so for work this year she is going to dress as a cat but to take her sister out she is planning on being a vampire. Jess recently saw a picture of me before marrage where we had to dress up for work and I was a full tiger, (face, outfit made from spandex, and even my almost waist lenth hair done) and now she is saying she wants that too.(problem is I don't have the outfit anymore.) But then she says she wants to be an angel or one of the princesses again.

When I was a teen a loved Haunted houses, then Freddy Kruger came and ruined everything for me, I got scared out of my ming and have not been able to go to another one since.  But I love to decorate my house and give the kids candy, love to see the costumes.  My dog and me sit and love it.

I love Halloween, I always have loved Halloween. I love horror movies as well. I used to dress up for Halloween. I remember one year me and some friends dressed like KISS and went to a parade dressed like that. It was cool.

No tradition except stay home and passing out candies to trick or treaters.

I used to go to haunted houses a few years ago, but now I don't really do anything for Halloween except decorate the outside of the house.

I'm 25 so I'm too old to go trick or treating, haha. That was always my favorite thing about Halloween when I was younger. Now I really appreciate the change in weather and scenery and that kind of scary atmosphere in the air that Halloween brings. I watch scary movies all month long but on Halloween night I just stay home and watch The Great Pumpkin, Nightmare Before Christmas, and my old Disney Halloween tape.
