Mmm... I wasn't aware the forum rules said people aren't allowed to repeat verses ...

They don't; neither do they prohibit opposing posts in response to repetitive religious proselytizing.

Wouldn't that be the same as your repetitive postings of certain quotes and pictures, as well as your own repetitive remarks?

You could look up what the word "response" means or, continue glossing over it.  Here's a hont though; a response is sequentially after whatever prompted it.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

*Sigh*  You play the "no comprehension" card whenever you choose, don't you?
Let's try this again, shall we?

Quote from: jcribb16 on Today at 06:01:24 pm
Oppose all you want.  If that's how you want to spend your quality time, then go for it.  It makes you look obsessed at doing so, but you just do what you think you must do.  Bravo for standing strong for your goal...

Quote from falcon9:
Uh-huh, and you fundies obsessively reposting requoted "verses" in multiple threads, several times a day, every day is somehow 'not' obsessive-compulsive behavior? In case the utterly obvious escapes you, (like it so often has in previous posts); there wouldn't be the amount of opposing posts if you fundies weren't spewing out several times the number of opposing posts in the first place.  Sheesh, you xtian whiners act like someone complaining about a person they hit with their car damaging their car's paint.

Now, the highlighted navy section of what you said indicates that you think believers are obsessively reposting verses.  I gave reasons as to why that may be, and then, since you seem to have a problem with so many being posted and reposted, asked where the rules say it couldn't be done.  Now, we both know there is no rule for this, but it was a point made to "help" you see that there is indeed no rule about reposting verses.  However, if there were to be such a rule, then your repostings of your repetitive quotes, pics, and remarks, would also be included and not allowed to be reposted either.

Once again, thank you for defining "response" as if I don't already know it - you love to try and make people appear dumb - thing is, people see it's you and what you are doing, which really does make you look a little foolish...

Oh and another thing, I am copying/pasting what it does say about Debate and Discuss threads and how "religious" is most definitely included in the description (this is in response to several days ago where you said it wasn't):

"Debate & Discuss
A place to have political, religious, and other divisive discussions. Enter at your own risk!"

This indicates that religious threads are most definitely allowed in this forum.  It also means that your accusation of believers "initially" starting threads like that, including what you call "proselytizing," is false.  They are allowed to be started, just as other topics are, and doesn't mean they are deliberately starting a problem, and they are not all necessarily "proselytizing" as you try and make them out to be.  Maybe a few posters are doing that, in which others have the right to disregard the invitation, or challenge the invitation.  Some are debate/discuss, usually to no avail because of nonacceptance of the believers' views.  And some are because of the inspiration some are sharing with others who also enjoy it.

It was suggested that you look up the meaning of the word "response" due to your continually glossing over the gist of it.

For now, this thread is being posted in the "Off Topics" forum, (not the "Debate & Discuss" subforum).  As such, there is no specific reference to topic content other than anything which is "off topic" and your contention is not specifically applicable.

No, it's your interpretation of it because I won't give you the answer you want me to give.

Just shows it also means that religious topics are not banned from being included with hundreds of other topics posted in the Off Topics forum.  So, your contention doesn't pass muster.

No, it's not "my" interpretation since I didn't write the dictionary definitions and those have nothing to do with your lack of comprehension of what a "response" consists of.  Summarily, your typical diversionary attempts have failed once again and the context, (that such extant "biblical verse" threads were the initial contentious posts and that any dissenting opposition consists of posts in response to such provocation).
No amount of smoke & mirror avoidance nonsense from xtians unable to take responsibility for instigated those threads will stand unopposed by reason, facts and logic.  Keep spinning illogical, irrational and non-factual faith-based blitherings though, they won't distract any rational person from the context here.

The discussion became so due to the divergent tangents of xtians persecuting non-xtians and the 'perception' that opposing publically and initally posted xtian superstitious religious beliefs is somehow "persecuting" xtians, (now that xtian misperception takes more twisting than making a tapestry of falsehoods would).

I am so sorry you are so frustrated that the religious threads are allowed in here.  Because they are allowed in here, it means they ARE NOT INSTIGATED at all.  If they weren't allowed, and yet posters tried to keep inserting them, then you would have a valid point.  Until then, you do not have a valid point, and you cannot stand to be wrong in anything you say/post - that has been very obvious for the longest.  Even when you are off the track, even the tiniest bit, like with religious threads allowed, you cannot handle being wrong, and you especially cannot and will not tolerate anyone even suggesting you are anything but right.  No smoke and mirror here - we all see it, so try and keep your spinning going on - it just makes you seem the intolerant one who refuses to tolerate religious threads that are indeed allowed in this forum.

I agree.  The religious threads are going to stay off track as long as believers and others who enjoy these threads are not allowed to enjoy conversing back and forth.  Opposing views are always expected and received, but the disrespect and intolerance being used constantly, are trying their best to derail these type threads.

I hope you are having a great day.  What a beautiful day outside!  Have a nice weekend!  :)

So am I - it's actually a sarcastic word, and is enjoying being used because it's known we don't like it.  It just shows the disrespect and common courtesy.

that wasnt the point i was trying to make i think we should be on topic but the fact christians on here not the only ones getting flack in here its seems that non christians are seen as instigators and i am not just talking about falcon i have had christians attack me as well for not sharing there believe we all  need to take responsibilty and stop being mean to each other it gets us no where just people needto stp picking on christians its not classy and its anooying but they have to stop talking to everyone like the fact they have opposite view means they are stupid and trying to destroy the morale fabric of the universe
