Trust me I know what you mean. I have a sweet toother like crazy. I was 250 pounds and in a year I lost 100 pounds. Then I got pregnant and gained forty pounds back. I am trying to get the weight off now that Alicia is born, but with these problems I am having with my c section incision I am slowed down on extercising. I notice that if I extercise I am not as tempted to eat badly. My incision actually tore open during running and cardio arobics. I have been stuck on the couch and feels like I am watching the weight poor on. I have to learn to stick with it. I cant wait til I can hit the floor running.

Its not hard at all, You should take a bottle of water and a bannana to school, eat it on the way home. When you get back home you can eat a small meal. Look as t the calories on the back of the box and read the portions for each calorie befor you eat. I was working late and I been doing it for 7 months and list 19 pounds. After I ate I turned my music on in did 10 set ups just to take away some calories from dinner I ate. Drinking the water and eating that bannana will make me not eat alot when I get home. Good luck!!!

I am 71 years old and have a hard time losing weight.  I like to eat.  When I was younger I stayed around 118 pounds now that is not so.  I wish I could lose but every time I try We go out to eat and that makes it harder.  Hope everyone has a good day and a nice weekend and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

Congrats and welcome baby Alicia! But you take it easy missy!  I cringed when you said you tore your incision. As a mother who also attempts to stay physically fit I know it's HARD to wait the recommended 4-8 weeks before resuming exercise routine but if you must do something, take a slow, leisurely (long) walk, don't run.

I was just about to suggest water.  I'd lost 25 pounds this year and recently gained 5 back.  I have a huge appetite and have been overeating like crazy but I'm back on the ball starting today.  Water helps you stay feeling full and flushes out toxins. I LOVE working out so that's not a problem, but I've been going over my preset daily calorie limit for almost a week by double  :-X I would've gained back more than 5 if it wasn't for the water.  Recording my intake in my food journal is a bit of a hassle but when the weight starts to melt off it's worth it.  My original weight loss goal was 20 pounds then I changed it to 30 but now I'm going for 35.  This year is winding down and I want to have this accomplished before the new year rolls in.  When everyone else is starting their weight loss I want to be working on maintaining mine.

Its not hard at all, You should take a bottle of water and a bannana to school, eat it on the way home. When you get back home you can eat a small meal. I dont have a problem with losing weight, its actually pretty darn easy.  The most important thing about losing weight is constantly staying active.  As long as a person at least walks through out their day, then it should be easy to lose a couple of pounds.  But of course the more weight you want to lose the more excruciating the exercise must be.  Just changing a person's eating habit isn't going to do much for losing weight because I eat what ever I want but I make sure to burn calories through out my day by constantly staying active.

...try Covert Bailey's "Fit Or Fat Target Diet".  It is not a diet but just healthy eating.  It has worked for me twice.
...there are other books geared for women.  they will help you understand how we lose weight and how to best keep it off.  there is also a recipe book.
...peace be with you.   :cat:

One tip never give up and never diet. Eat what you want in moderation and watch portion control. Everyone hears it alot but it's so true. Make water your best friend and load up on veggies and fruit. Exercise you have too with strength training this is how you burn the fat.

I workout at night so I eat after around 8. I've still been losing weight steadily and still eat all the foods I like. I just make sure I drink about twice as much water as I do any other beverage and try to have fruits and vegetables as snacks instead of junk

Loosing weight has been extremely hard for me. I am addicted to sodas, and sweets. I always gain the weight that I lost back.

Yeah, I'm at the point in my life where I should focus on losing weight and living a more healthy life. I'm guilty when it comes to soda because I drink way too much of it. I also eat more than I should as well. I lost quite a bit of weight when I was away from home because I was in job corps. They feed us 3 times a day and I was much more active back then. I got into playing basketball again and eventually played on their basketball team. I also had to walk off campus just to get to my carpentry class and it was like a mile away. I even walk all over town to go shopping and watch movies at a theater. I had a good time back in job corps and most of all I was proud of myself for losing more weight than I expected.
I wish there was some kind of a exercise boot camp in my area and I'm willing to bet that its not free if there is one. I guess, I should go find a exercise buddy or something.
