Puppy that don't shed much

I am looking for a small to a medium size puppy that don't shed much,have a 11 yr old and a seventeen yr old,they have allergies,can anyone direct me to the perfect pet that loves kids.

Poddles are good in that area.  They have hair and not fur.  So they don't really shed and fewer people are allergic to them.
