i Do believe in god, and am not afraid to admit it on any public forum.  i also believe that anyone has the right to believe in whatever it is they want to believe. i have no problem with anyone posting the daily bible verses, nor would i have a problem with anyone posting things such as wiccan blessings.  its their right.  if i dont agree with what is posted, i simply dont comment on it.  what i dont understand is why everyone complains about people disagreeing and continuing to argue with them over and over.  it amazes me that people tell someone, such as falcon9 (no i'm not defending anything he posts, to be honest i seldom even  read it) to ignore what they post ...yet they continue to argue with him over and over about how wrong he is.  would it not be easier to actually just accept that they dont believe as you do and not argue with them? just fighting back is egging the others on and really does no one any good. so much easier to agree to disagree and not stress yourself out. instead of trying to convince someone you dislike to ignore your post, just ignore theirs and everyone is happy

We live in the United States and we have freedom of religion.  It's up to each one of us to decide whether we believe or not, and what religion we choose to participate in (if we believe).  We also must be tolerant of those who's beliefs are different from ours, whether they believe or not.  I do not judge you on your beliefs and hope you do not judge mine if they are not the same as yours.  As long as we are not hurting each other, what does it matter?

Given the crusades, witch hunts, Westboro baptists and numerous other 'fine' examples of the manifested effects of religious superstitions of "hurting"/killing others, I do judge such specious "beliefs", (e.g., that which lacks any evidentiary basis).  Attempts by religious adherents to distance themelves from the same belief systems which lead to those attrocities is a self-deceptive avoidance tactic.
