Dilemma with my check..

I have a problem with my most recent payment. I opted for a check this time, and my account shows it was mailed out on the 19th of September, but I haven't received it yet. And we are moving out this weekend, and I won't be here Monday if it should happen to come. I will be having my mail forwarded and will change my address on FC, but I'm worried about it. I thought for sure it would be here by now. I'm in the U.S., Iowa, and I believe it should be coming from CA right? I can't imagine what is taking it so long, but I already checked the mail today. I normally do direct deposit but I was planning on closing my bank account soon so I changed to a check in the mail. Ugh...

You planned well, but circumstanses just haven't played out the way you expected.  I believe that, right now, all you can do is wait.

Not sure how good postal delivery is in the midwest, but some rural  areas and even some urban areas are slower than in the good old days.

Hopefully, the instructions to have your 1st class mail forwarded will work out and you'll get the check in a couple of weeks. That's better than trying to have the check reissued through FC.  If you do that, you have to wait 6? months so that the first check can be considered lost.

So take a deep breath and focus on your moving. 

Everything will work out in the end.  And if it hasn't work out, you haven't reach the end yet.

Thanks for your input... I know all I can do is wait now, just can't imagine why it would take so long to get here.    Oh well.

It might take some time, but the check would certainly be in your hands in a few days. Relax, and focus on the moving. Whoo, moving is hard.

Submit a support ticket for expedited service. If you ever happen to have this kind of situation again I suggest a PayPal deposit. That way the money will go wherever you go! I usually get the checks about a week after they send it out so you should be getting it tomorrow if anything... Hope the mail comes before you move!
