im not a religious person but what is ur problem with pray and religion[?]...
The inquisitions, crusades, witch hunts, Ku Klux Klan, Jonestown, Moonies, catholic priesthood pedaphiles and 9/11 should be enough to cause most people to question "religions" and the "prayer", (magical intercessory rituals), that go along with them. If not, what more do they need?
So what your saying is if i pray to god and go to church im a Klan member that molests children and is responsible for a mass suicide who master minded 9/11.
No, you asked what the problem was with religion and praying and I answered the question. Your over-generalization is specious and ignorant. Though the same religious beliefs underlie the inquisitions, crusades, witch hunts, KKK, the Jonestown suicides and catholic pedaphiles of course not all religious adherents partake of these atrocities. The point is, they share teh same basic religious beliefs and those are what I oppose.
Well what about all the people that murder and molest and cause chaos and hate that don't pray or are not religious? It doesn't make any sense.
That's because you're drawing a false conclusion from an invalid parallel. There's a difference between what people do and their religious beliefs. There's no difference between the religious beliefs of those directly responsible for atrocities and those who believe in the same superstitions but, haven't yet commited atrocities.
We just might well give up on humanity. I'd hate to back it to you but faith and religion will be here till the end of time, and im surprised your offended for someone that likes to dish it out...You sure cant take it...........
On the contrary, many former supertitious beliefs are no longer influencing humanity, (such as 'thunder g-ds', volcano g-ddesses, harvest 'g-ds' requiring human sacrifices, etc.). Eventually, such remaining superstitious ignorance will die out or, they're adherents will. As for dishing it out and taking it; you haven't really been following either in depth or you'd have seen evidence to the contrary extending over a year's worth of posts.
