Is it ok to call a friend, give them ur link to sign up with FC

That's fine to do, but calling seems a bit counterproductive. Emailing them would probably work better since it's right on their computer and they can sign up right away.

Having a website or blog is also a good idea. Cue OldBuddy in three, two, one....

How many people recruit people to participate in sites like this.

I just have not been able to convince myself to do this. I guess I feel like a telemarketer trying to sell something.

It is hard to convince friends this is legit.  Best thing to do is show them a copy of a check you received from FC.

You could but it's probably a lot easier to send it to them in some other way so they can just click on it. You can email, instant message, text, use social networking, etc.

You can do it in anyway but make sure the person signing up doesn't use your same internet connection
