I looked up clips of it after I read this post because I kept seeing things about it, but really had no idea what it was. "White trash" comes to mind; it can be strangely fascinating to watch... that people exist who actually live/act like that.

More power to them, not everyone has the opportunity to not worry about where their income will come from for a while. I worry about how we are going to make it everyday, and their setting up trust funds for their kids. I wish I could do that!

If you were enabled to set up trust funds, chances are good that your kid(s) would have a level head on their shoulders (like their mom) and they wouldn't BLOW it.  I agree with sigmapi1501's posts.  I also believe that tiger's don't change their stripes.  "Ignorance is bliss" and they seem very blissfully ignorant.  Wait until the novelty wears off with everyone and their funds are blown.   IMO, a few years from now and they would be wishing to do what you can do...

Everyone who watches this show seems to be super classist. Yes, they are not a "classy" family. But you know what? They clearly love each other and are HAPPY. All that matters. It's exploitative, yes, but you don't need to insult them. Not everyone gets a chance at education and success. They're happy, so who cares.

Well, I personally have not watched the show, and have no interest in doing so, but I have been hearing so much about it, and have seen countless clips of it on other television shows. Honestly, the little girl seems very annoying, and quite obnoxious. I can think of much better things to watch on TV, but to each his own. The show has been a huge success for TLC so far, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it

I think a little of both - Some people will do anything for money. They have put themselves in publics eye in a way most people wouldn't. To each thier own I guess.

You know I feel sorry for the child. She is being put in a situation that is living her mothers dream or continuing her mother dream. She is dressed up much older than she is and that is what got another child beauty queen killed. Remember Jon Bone. She was about her age. I thought we were suppose to be taking care of the children. Putting so much make up and making them look older than they are just is asking for trouble
