I'm always amazed at the people who believe a man rose from the dead after being nailed to a tree and stabbed in the ribs, but deny belief in the easter bunny.

Consistency, please.

Those two things are totally irrelevant to each other.  It's pretty sad that you feel the need to post something like this EVER, let alone on this special day! We have evidence/proof of Jesus, but show me any proof of a human-sized rabbit that hides eggs and baskets around our yards. If you are an adult, you know what the "Easter Bunny" is about and you know it's just something fun for kids. A person saying they don't believe in the Easter Bunny doesn't mean they don't believe in having an egg hunt for their kids. It just means they are an adult who knows the difference between real and not real. If a person doesn't believe in Jesus and his Resurrection, that's by their own choice ...not by the fact that it didn't happen, because there is proof of this person and this magnificent event! By your comment I assume you  are nothing more than a child trying to cause drama on a message board. I will pray for you.

Your "evidence" consists of a 2000 year old book written by dozens upon dozens of different people.  It consists of a book ripped to pieces and glued back together and edited by thousands, maybe millions, of different hands by people with specific agendas to convince and gain power over the masses.  It consists of a book that constantly contradicts itself on even the most minute details (for instance, the virgin birth being in only two of the four gospels...you'd think it's a slightly important detail to mention).  You have organizations like the Council of Nicaea admitting to taking out any sections of the Bible that, for instance, implied Jesus was not divine.  It consists of simply factually incorrect assertions and hundreds of contradictions between the supposed writers.

Tip of the iceberg.  Please don't do this to me; if the Bible is legitimate evidence of Jesus and what he did, Master of the Universe is evidence of He-Man.

While I accept a man of Jesus' nature existing in those historical times, it's fairly clear he was nothing more than a political and religious rebel who angered the Jewish pharisees and paid the price as any other person who broke the law would have.  Until a credible, legitimate source arises to prove otherwise, that's what it remains.

Either way, it's clearly not irrelevant.  As you've shown, the idea of a giant bunny running around hiding baskets of goodies is goofy, mythical, and a creative childhood story.  A man rising from death after having his knees broken, being nailed to a cross, left to bleed for a day, and stabbed in the ribs is just as (perhaps even more) illogical, goofy, and irrational.

How is what I said irrelevant?  Your view is inconsistent, plain and simple.

Even further, you've brought up the so common thing of placing your religion on a pedestal.  "How dare I post something like that and insult your religion!!"  How dare I?  The same reason I would dare insult a person's political stance, social views, favorite sports team, etc.  Religion is not on a pedestal, it is not immune from criticism.  If it's not criticized, it leads to fundamentalism and extremism...clearly neither of those serve a positive purpose in the world and clearly they are negative.

I can assure you I'm not a child attempting to create drama.  Drop your elitist attitude and perhaps open your eyes to see both sides of the discussion.  You can believe as you wish, but the inconsistency remains.

Have a good day, thanks for the prayers

Our family has three pet rabbits, two girls and a male. I remember one time when we had a litter of baby bunnies we named one after Peter Rabbit, he eventually got the nickname PeRoy.  :bunny:
