Wow, this thread really scares me.  I am sure all of our men and women standing on that line giving there lives daily would not take the choice of Commander-in-Chief so lightly.  But, giving each of us the freedom to make that choice is exactly why they do what they do daily, faithfully, and courageously.  It shocks me to hear that we have become such a pampered nation, that deciding the leader of the greatest nation in the free world has become less of a choice than choosing between an X-box or PS3.

I can swing my vote either way at the moment. It all depends on who I feel is the better candidate as I vote on Nov. 6.    There are a lot of people that I talk to that are not sure who they are going to vote for.  They are all so unsure who the best candidate is.  I only know of one family who is strong on their opinion.  :-

I'm interested in this election, but as usual I see that many here are trying to blame Obama for what Bush did. It was Bush that messed up our economy. President Obama can't fix what Bush messed up in only 4 years. It's almost evident that it isn't about what is right for our country its about the fact that America wasn't ready for  black man to be president. Our country has birthed hatred into its people. I wish that we could learn to look past the color of a persons skin, and focus on character. President Obama is concerned about all Americans. Romney is only concerned about people who are making six figures. Whites and Blacks together depend on student loans, medicaid, and foodstamps. Our country will suffer badly if Romney is elected and he terminates all of the programs that are dedicated to helping low income families. Our job market needs to be repaired first, and then you look at reducing Government funding. If the rich get richer...what happens to the middle class. The middle class consists of many different types of people. We are talking about no social security, no section 8, no housing programs. Not everybody is looking for a handout, but even the working class are in need of help.
You're the one that can't look past the color of a person's skin! My opinion of Obama is solidly based on his voting record before he became president, and on his actions after he became president. I don't care what color he is. I care about how he uses his office to cover up all sorts of malfeasance by the Justice department and others (Fast and Furious, for example); how he shoved Obamacare down our throats as a first step toward total control of our everyday lives; how his voting record before his presidency clearly shows he's anti- Second Amendment.
As far as fixing what Bush messed up, why were Bush's bailouts so bad, but when Obama did the same thing, he's a hero? If he really wanted to fix Bush's errors, he should have gotten rid of the Patriot Act, which is a totaltalitarian, unconstitutional piece of tyranny, but instead he kept it and added to it.
I agree that Romney is for the rich, but so is Obama, no matter what he pretends, like all the politicians on both sides that are "bought and paid for" by Big Money. Obama is for the entitlement class, so he can buy their votes. Obamacare is proof that he doesn't care about burdening the average working American with higher taxes. And don't confuse the entitlement class with the middle class. The middle class is really all the people who support themselves and their families through hard work, and they are gradually getting squeezed out existence from both sides.

I can go the next week without hearing another political ad. Unfortunately, we live in a society that that feeds off them. I will be one of the 1% that writes in a candidate.  :-X

Look...politics is truly the greatest show on earth. And, if everyone were truly awake they would know it's not the political parties running things...it's people way above the president and so forth. Will I vote? Yes...so I can have the true right of complaining if things don't get done. Has Obama done anything he said he would do? No! None of them are addressing the food price increases. Yesterday we saw the same 3 piece package of chicken at the grocery store we used to get for about $3.50 priced at $8.89! More than a double increase. And yet prices keep climbing while wages are going down. A dozen of jumbo eggs at same store used to be $1.86. Now they're $2.46.  :dontknow:  :bootyshake:

That's about the only reason why I vote! I hate seeing our country brought down, but you're not going to get anything from either party, since they are all only pawns. I thing we would have had the best chance with Ron Paul, but the power elite certainly don't want him in there!

 8) this election is bringing out many good and interesting conversations. I think that Obama raises the race conversation to new levels and really makes people think about what they really stand for. Romney brings to the table an obvious agenda that is not is the best interest of 47% of Americans. This election as well as the election in 2008 is good for this country. We all have to remember that these are politicians not saviors. I would encourage anyone that have an issue with either candidate to watch any political film from 1933.
