I don't like bullies at all.  Whether it's in person or cyber.  People tend to forget when talking online you are still talking to a real person.  Sometimes people get down and chat online and things said to them can hurt them.  I would hate to think someone was really down and out and I (me personally) said something to them to hurt them.  I try not to let people get to me but will admit that at times yes people have upset me.  The thing about something like this site is if you get too out of line attacking another poster you can get kicked out and lose the money you have earned.  That might keep people in line more. lol  I think it is fun to talk to people.  I usually avoid the threads like religion and politics.  I believe what I believe and everyone else has the same freedom.  I do not want to be put down or called names because of what I beleive.  I know that goes on it some threads so why go there?  SO to answer your question...I think bullies are mostly people with low self esteem that needs to put others down to make themselves feel better about themselves.  They usually travel in packs and pick on those that are weaker.  I try to stand up for people when I can especially if they cannot stand up for themselves.

Internet bullies? Like they pick on kids they know at school on the internet?   I think it's bad. But at least you can log off the internet. I'd rather be bullied online than in real life.

Being mean whether in person or on the internet is wrong.

bullying stems from inferiority, insecurity, and someone glorifying
their weaknesses into what they believe is strength: taunting
others, pretentiously confronting others, harassment. that's how
i feel about it. let's see what dictionary.com says...

bul·ly:
a blustering, quarrelsome, overbearing person who habitually badgers
and intimidates smaller or weaker people.

yup, i would say you're correct when you say we have some of those
on FC. luckily, on the internet, we're provided block/delete/ignore
buttons. atleast you can get away from it.

The option to ignore posts exists on FC.  Those who use it and then proceed to troll with false accusations are passive-aggressive pseudo-victims worthy of derision.

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

If you're ignoring someone, you're not mentioning that you're ignoring them unless you're an idiot or a passive-aggressive, immature little drama-queen playing the false 'victim'.

Dealing with people is a part of life.  Dealing with trolls is now also a part of life.   :-X

I wouldn't take it to seriously when someone goes off on a forum thread, game, or voice chat though.  Some people seem to think just because someone is intimidating them it's a reason to go nuclear and become unstable.  In a sense bullies might be idiots.  Way I see it though is they either can help someone learn to deal with people in a proper manner, or root out the people who can't handle stuff leading them to become unstable and create a destructive environment. =-P

Aw heck just ignore them, they aren't going to go away. I discuss with hubby some of the mundane talk that goes on. He gets a big kick out of the ones that think they are so much smarter then others Noticed the (think in there). I get quite a kick out of them and then just ignore it.

Sometimes I'm bemused at those who attribute being "smarter" to others as something they "think", (or hold as an opinion implying that the holder is 'dumber' than others).  These passive-aggressive types will often falsely designate others as "bullies" when others have refuted the false-designator's positions, (rather than engaging in any actual "bullying" activitity).

I think people who bully other people online its just crazy n da person who is being bullied shouldn't take wat other mean people say to them online to heart its just online. I mean I understand if it a teenager but still they should tell they parents that dis person is saying dis or that to me n than da parents should talk with da other parents of da kid who bullied there kid. I mean alot of people say very very mean thing to me but I just move on n I could careless wat he or she said to me n I just don't talk with that person ever again.
