walmart is great for buying supplies, but still hate going there...always so crowded, not enough room to move, screaming kids...never seem to have the a/c at a low enough temp lol.

A lot of people dog out Walmart because their prices are so low they drive off the competition.  I believe that if Walmart beats out all others, then it is what it is.  Don't punish them for having the best business model and carrying it out to near-perfection.  That Sam Walton was a pretty smart dude...

It has been a few years since I had to buy the School supplies for our kids.
Our youngest is in college and did her own shopping for school supplies.

Yeah the streets are quiet, till the school busses start showing up all over the place... Ever get behind one on a single lane curvy road that goes forever??  Took me 1/2 hour to go 5 miles.. lolol :angel12:

I've never had an issue with walmart, except in a big city--then it's crazy :BangHead: My town is small enough and we have two superWalmart's.
My daughter started first grade last week and we shopped at walmart as well. <$10 for all of her school supplies-----lovin it ;D WE also bought her some new school clothes there, spent about $40, but i also had a gift card for target and old navy, so i used those to buy her some clothes there as well ($25 gift card at each place).

I'm glad the kids will be off the streets. I'm all for year-round school. Just like the real world of work.

My little one just started Kindergarten and I am so glad she is loving it ;D. I think at first I was more worried and her leaving then she was but now that we have a week done I feel better. The time she is at school and I am off work is when I will use that time to spend more time online.

Many places have sales on school supplies at this time of year...but I agree wal-mart has the best prices year round.
