While the president does have limited power (part of the beauty of our system), yes I do think there would be improvement with Mitt Romney - nothing like with Reagan or something like that, but definitely a step in the right direction....the problem is I don't know how fast some of the changes could be made

We haven't had a decent president since Kennedy....and not a great one since Roosevelt.  Mitt Romney won't be able to change much of anything since congress has the "uncooperative" attitude they have had with the last several presidents.  This country needs an enema (quoting Jack Nicholson as the joker).  The problem is....nobody has the *bleep* to do what would be considered the most unpopular ideas in history.  Remove almost every entitlement this country has...make everything a "work to get" system.  Shrink government to about 1/4th of what it is today.  Put most of what the government does in the hands of the states who are most times..better equipped to handle it.  Bring all of the manufacturing jobs back to America by abolishing almost every union that exists and bringing the over inflated wages that workers expect (auto workers??) and also bring inflation under control so people can actually afford something they worked hard and SAVED for.

NO, I do not like him or Ryan for that matter, but I really think that the problem with this government is Congress, they are the most uncooperative people in politics, politians are just poppets of the governemnt and no matter who wins the next 4 years as long as Senate and Congress keeps the same bozos nothing is going to change.  The Rich will get richer and pay less taxes and the middle class will dissappear and the poor will be total homeless.  Not much is going to change.
