I love yardsales! You find the best stuff at them sometimes!

Today I found a book for my cousin and a fall time wreath for only two bucks!

I need to have a yard sale.  We accumulate so much stuff over the years.  Just hate to pack it up and go somewhere but we live on a dead end street so not sure we would get much traffic and city ordinances does not allow signs.

I love yard sales, garage sales, thrift stores, etc. You just never know what you can find.

You don't need your own yard. I saw one yesterday where several families had set up in the parking lot of the local Ace Hardware, right on the main highway going through town. It was packed with people digging through all the treasures.

One man's trash is another man's treasure.  Yard sales are a great place to discover your own "treasures" at very good prices.

yard sales are good if they have large variety, but my favorites are estate sales or auctions.  i always find some kind of treasures

I sent a few things to a family member's home that was having a yard sale.  The only thing that sold was my nail polish but get this . . . I asked a dollar ($1) for each nail polish and at the end of the first day that netted me over $87!!!  Of all the things I sent, I WAS AMAZED!!!  Who knew.  I didn't even count how many nail polishes I had - just had them in a container together and there was a bunch so I though what the heck and sent them.  The great "bags" like duffles and purses came back - the great kids tv game that had never been used, etc. all came back.  BUT the nail polish was a gold mine!  I am now thinking out of the box for the next yard sale!

I used to love yard sales.  Now people price things so high you feel like your paying their rent.  They wont bargain with you either.  My grandma was really good at talking someone down in price.  Now people won't budge they would rather give it to the thrift stores than to take a penny less than what they marked.  Now I have been able to talk a price down at a thrift store, but not a yard sale.
