Where do you get the coupons that let you do that?! All the coupons I ever see say that they can't be redeemed for more than the cost of the product, so that you can get it free, but never any cash back. Also, all the coupons I see won't let you stack them, either, and use more than one for the same item. (although I do know some stores will let you use a store coupon plus a manufacturer's coupon). So I think either there's fraud going on, or the cashiers don't know the rules.

There are a few really good sites out there. They will basically make you a shopping list with what coupons you need. It is great. If you google my username and go to my blog, one of the sites is on the lower left corner under blogs. I love the site. She puts together good deals and gets stuff you use every day for little to no money and the best ones are when you actually make money! I will still buy the things that I don't usually buy, but only if it's free or I make money from it. Then, I just give the product away, since I don't use it any way. You can find coupons for a lot of your favorite products. I was surprised when I first started because I didn't realize how many places you can get coupons from.

I love using coupons but have not used any lately. The next time I go grocery shopping I will use coupons.

I use coupons for everything.  Groceries, hardware store, travel.  If you say there is never any for what you buy, you just are not looking.  If you use a store card, they will send you coupons every few months for the items you buy.  I get a lot of meat coupons this way.  If you write to manufacturer's of items you like, they will usually send you coupons.  One store I sent a letter to sent me $25.00 in gift cards for anything in there store.  Since my husband was disabled (and with 4 teenagers) I have learned to be the coupon queen.  We DO NOT buy things we don't eat just because we have a coupon.  I think I probably average 75% off on my grocery bills.  If you watch, in my area any way, they have several stores that double coupons, and one about once a month for an afternoon will triple them.   Be organized with them and you can take advantage of unadvertised specials too!  We go out to eat only if we have coupons for the restaurants.  We buy gently used items.   I use the sale ads to match up coupons with.

I use coupons the time. I'm still learning how to coupon so I can maximize my savings. There are two stores that I go to that will double coupons up to 0.99, so that helps.

Whoa!!! I can't believe you guys only spend that much. Even after using tons of coupons when going to the Commissary (military food store), my family always spends at least somewhere between $400-550. They don't double coupons either.   :(
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

You have to watch the Ad's no matter what, clip every coupons like here in California their are many store just as any other state.  You can find coupons online and in the paper, and online there is more online than in the paper.  You can clip two from each site you visit with can give you up to 10 coupons for the same product.  Now once you have a list of your coupons search the ad because some of the coupons are for over the actual value of the product your buying and that's no lie. I dedicate 30 hours a week to clipping and comparing prices in stores and sometime I get lucky and spend 30$ and get all but the tax off and then get in store credit as well.  CVS pharmacy and walgreens are great places to get cash back credit when spending little to no money at all.   It really works but you won't believe it until you try it for yourself. As for those who don't have CVS or Walgreens go to wal-mart because they take as many coupons of the same as you got..K-mart doubles their coupons for shop your way reward members only but they have a limit up to 25$ that you must spend in order to double the coupon.  Albertson's also doubles up on coupons and every now and then you can get stores to round each coupon to the value of 1$.   Just pay attention and do the research.

Yes yes! I don't understand why more people don't take advanage of coupons.  I check online almost everyday for coupons.  It gets even more exciting checking your sunday's paper for sales ads and more coupons (that may not be online).  You get a better deal when you use a coupon for an item that's on sale.  Love it.

AGREED!!!

GREAT JOB!!!

I took my oldest daughter with me the other day...  She usually doesn't pay attention... This day she did.  She saw how I shopped and why it takes a litte bit longer.. And then she saw why.  I saved 74% on my bill.  More or less paid for the meat and produce.

Shopping your sales... with coupons..  is how I shop.  I compare prices and find it at the best price.  If canned food or boxed.. I will take add to Walmart and price match.
But will shop AT Safeway or Savemart because every dollar I spend works towards my gas reward.   Which truly saves me in another way.  I can get 30cents off gas this week... (added to the percentage that I already have off).. If I spend 75.00
Totally worth it.

When you shop for sale items, with coupons.. SAFEWAY has the Best prices.. PLUS here they have a better selection than Walmart.

GREAT question!

Happy Earnings

Wow that is a great savings!!  With it being just me and my husband (no kids) we like certain brands, I use to coupon all the time, but found myself buying stuff just to save the 25-50 cents and then we never liked it near as good, so now I take coupons only for brands that I know we like or want to try.  I have to wonder if the printable coupons pay, it seems like you go through the ink quickly and that is not cheap.  Also, our Sunday paper have only few coupons, so buy the time I pay for the paper to save $2.00 while the paper cost $1.25 just don't always save much.  My aunt used to send coupons to me, but once again alot of times nothing I would use in their and she spent the postage.  So .....all in all....just depends if I see a coupon I will use it if its something I buy regularly.
