Does anyone have an Ebook Reader, i.e. Kindle, Nook, Sony Reader and what do you think of them? I want to get the Kindle DX or Kindle Fire.

My mom has a kindle and she really loves it. For me personally I like reading from a paper book. I tried to read something on her kindle and I just couldn't stand it.

I have a 3rd generation Kindle, which doesn't have all the crazy Internet features but it has the easy-to-read screen.

If you're main purpose for getting it is reading, I would suggest getting one with the stone tablet screen as it is MUCH easier on the eyes. Plus, with a Kindle Fire, you can only use the Internet in places where ou already have access to a wIfi connection.

To be honest I would just get a tablet instead of an Ebook reader.  Most of the tablets out there have apps for Ebooks, and better functionality.

I don't have an E-Book Reader, and I particulary don't want one. I love the smell and feel of a physical book. However, in the future, books are probably only going to be in E-Reader format, so I probably will be forced to get one at some point.

A lot of good input. I have so many books in my library, that I want a way to get the clutter under control. Wish those apps and a tablet or an E Reader was available ten years ago.

I bought my wife the Kindle, just the plain one that was running $79. I can't get here to look at emails on the computer but, she won't put the kindle down. I bought it for her for Christmas and she has gone through about 40 books so far. I can't keep it out of her hands, she love's it. She used to read alot but, she enjoys and seems to read even more with the Kindle.
