One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

A waterless toilet seems interesting enough, but I'm not sure how it would work to keep the odor unnoticeable.. Ew!  :dontknow:

Some might say it fits with previously-developed crappy operating systems.

If nothing is known about the deveopment of this invention, how can any determination of workability be made about it?  Empty opinion is no substitute for an informed one; why bother posting your uninformed opinion when you could've opted-out of replying?

Dyson makes cooling fans that have no blades, why not a toliet that uses no water by someone else?

I'm with you there. I've always heard that anything is possible. Why not a waterless toilet. I'm going to have to look this up.

I wasn't aware Bill Gates was qualified to make toilets devices, but I am familiar with some of the crap I have dealt with from Microsoft. As to waterless toilets this kind of bothers me. Unless there are periodically points when the toilets clears out the waste on the top this is going to smell.

I just went and looked up an article on this. Bill Gates hasn't actually invented a waterless toilet. He is subsidizing research into the possibility of waterless toilets for poverty stricken areas of the world where water is scarce and people are constantly getting sick from coming into contact with human waste. They're also researching a lot of other things that could potentially save millions of lives. I suggest you all read up on it for yourselves. It is really very interesting, and I hope he succeeds.
