It's good you called.  There are soooo many requests for information coming into my email that I don't take any of them seriously.  It is almost to dangerous anymore to even give out your name  :-X

This process is rolling out among all Paypal account holders. When I first found out I  anyway they told me that I woould need a picture ID Proof of Address and my SSN card. I faxed the picture ID (License), but I was not comfortable sending my SSN card. I called customer support the first time and explined that I was not comfortable with this, and they told me I had to do it. Needless to say I called back the next day and got a new representative who told me that I had made a good faith effort to identify myself, and the limitation on my account was removed. You are now forwarned that this might interfere with some cashouts. [ :bunny:spoiler][/spoiler]

Hey Guys !  i,ve said this before many times on many different  Forums !!!  (  PAYPAL IS A SCAM !  They,re a CORRUPT, Organization !!!  that will  ( Limit your account without notifying you, which means any funds you have in your account @ that time will be frozen and, you can,t access your money.  This is pure  Theft !  believe me I have been through this with them and, going on  ( 3-yrs,  now I have not been able to get them to remove this limitation.  I,ve both called  support several times and, sent many emails.  You don,t have to believe me !!!  Got to  YouTube !  look-up  PayPal Scams !!!  There are many videos on this  Corrupt Co  !!!  You have been warned  !!!!!

People are always trying to send out bad information about Paypal.  I have seen this before and found out someone not with paypal was sending these messages out.

Paypal has always been very helpful to me.  They even call my homepage to see if the problem was straightening out.

I use paypal for 5 years and they never asked me for my SSN. But there are some people in this world that will scam you to get you account. If they ask you for your SSN then it is a scam, don't do it. The paypal site will always have a lock on the address bar, if it doesn't get off the site.

That reminds of what happened to PTC Box, Paypal froze their account and they are going out of business.  It was a Ponzi scheme I am sure, but it ruins you when Paypal gets involved.

PayPal gave me trouble early on when I first began using the service, but I think this was heavily due to technical issues then. I have been fortunate to having stable service from them since. Of course I do get worried still whenever I see an e-mail from PayPal about a new update or policy. I also see what's going on with PTCBox and that's discouraging. Unfortunately they're not the only PTC that has had their account frozen. Actions like this have made me hesitant to ever put money down towards a PTC.

I have gotten phishing attempts from people pretending to be PayPal, and the emails look official.

I've always forwarded them to spoof@paypal.com to report the phishing attempt.

I remember doing something to remove a limit back in 2007.  It was on their official site and I haven't had any problems so far.

If most of you people are having trouble with paypal, why don't you just directly link fc with your own bank.... It basically cuts out the middle man, especially if you have to link paypal with your original bank.  there is less of a hassle and you have access to your money sooner.

I've always just requested a check, and after reading this I will continue to request checks.

I hope my paypal account doesn't screw up. I'm only 15 and don't have a credit card. I will sometime though... Anyways, I'm going to check my paypal account for mischief.
