There are so many scams around the world. It does get really scary when you have to watch your back so people wont take your last little hard earned money. If people just try and do things right we wont have so many problems with money.

Gee I've had PayPall for years and no problems.  Hope when I put in for a cashout from FC this doesn't happen to me.  Sounds like some kind of scam to me.  I would never want to give out my SS number or Drivers License number with out good reason and even then I would want to be sure who I was giving it to.  I think I would have to  call the company personally and make sure its the right phone number.  Sounds scary.  Hummmm

when someone sends you an e-mail concerning paypal  DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK THEY HAVE TO ACCESS PAYPAL.  open up a new window and do it through there.  if there is an issue with your account, it will be listed inyour account.   better safe than :crybaby2: and :BangHead:

Just of clarification this is something that is not just affecting paypal. It is affecting all online banking establishments. Congress decided to pass a law that requries Online banking sites to use independent verification.

Interesting to know.  THere are so many scams - You can't be too careful.  Had one the other day from paypal that even had the correct support email.  I called and they verified it wasn't from them.

This process is rolling out among all Paypal account holders. When I first found out I  :BangHead: anyway they told me that I woould need a picture ID Proof of Address and my SSN card. I faxed the picture ID (License), but I was not comfortable sending my SSN card. I called customer support the first time and explined that I was not comfortable with this, and they told me I had to do it. Needless to say I called back the next day and got a new representative who told me that I had made a good faith effort to identify myself, and the limitation on my account was removed. You are now forwarned that this might interfere with some cashouts.
is there any other account like paypal that you can get

Well! I was thinking of getting a pay pal account but I think I'll just stick with a check.
