Referrals denied (from the off-topic forum)
« on: August 04, 2012, 05:42:37 pm »
I was looking at my cashout & it denied both of my referrals...why is that so? -.-"

The most common reason is a shared internet access however, another explanation could apply, (inactive referral/no confirmation of e-mail address, etc.).
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

My friends mom is in my kitchen area, on her own pc well laptop actually.  She was interested in FC, so I told her well mark me down as a referral If you can, if not no biggie.  However, she is on wi-fi, and right now is running off of my internet connection (i connect via usb, but have a wireless router, so people can use the wifi while i am on my pc in my room, which is always.  lol  So anyways, can she sign up using her laptop using me as a referral or will that interfere with any rules of FC?
Any answers would be helpful.  I would rather have an answer to this before i told her to go ahead and sign up!
Thanks

No she cant sign up under your internet connection she would have to have her own, though there are sum sites that do allow that but only a few! But if she gets her own internet she can sign up

If she is truly a unique referral then just have her sign up on an Cellular connection. I understand how frustrating that this can be, but if fusioncash allowed people to add referral using their own WIFI connection then people could refer themselves, and create a fraud loop. If I were you I would open a support ticket telling the staff your situation. The FC staff are very helpful, I'm sure that they will be able to help you come up with a solution.

dimemoney7, that's a great idea because if she signs up under your IP address it's considered the same as yours, which it is. If she doesn't have Internet she can do it at the library. I hope this helps:!

Logging on from any public internet access portal, (such as a library), runs the risk that someone else uses that same portal, (same IP address), to access FC.  If that occurs, it violates the FC TOS.

Watch out for people signing up under proxy servers.

I ran campaigns on different mini-job sites and offered a cut of my bonus to anyone that signed up under me. Pretty much the same thing GPT sites do... they give us offers and pay us to complete those offers. I targeted only the US and Canada but it seems pretty much everyone on these sites are from Bangladesh using proxies to appear as if they're from the US, so some of my referrals were denied. I sent a ticket to FC to explain exactly how I got the referrals and to ask why they were denied and they told me about the proxies.

No matter what, according to the rules, I'm responsible if I gain a bunch of fraudulent referrals. Hopefully my account will not be in jeopardy after the final body count. My current cashout is dwindling as they continue to deny referrals because of this. :sad1: Needless to say, I won't be doning that anymore.

Well, one of those referrals is my mother so I'm pretty sure I'll get to keep her  ;D . She's from Brooklyn, not Bangladesh  ;) .

That makes since though. Even though they have a U.S. IP address the advertisers on this site are not interested in people outside of the U.S. and Canada.

I know that. I didn't target anyone outside of the U.S. and Canada and didn't want anyone outside of these countries to sign up. They used proxies to get around that to get paid. I had no way of knowing at the time that they were using proxies until FusionCash rejected them. They presented themselves as being from somewhere they were not via their IP's and now, like I said, I'm just waiting for the final body count.
