What are your thoughts on horoscopes?

I think people just make them, I don't believe them. But I do like to read them for fun!

I don't read horoscopes nowadays, but I did temporarily in the past, when I was younger and worked in the summer at a store where they used to sell magazines. So I used to read all the gossip magazine's horoscopes when I got bored, and really nothing made sense, or everything was pretty general, nothing really specific. But I swear there was this one magazine that was always spot on, either with things going on in my life and some things that made sense in the foreseeable future. Never based my life in horoscopes, and never took that magazine really seriously, proof is that I don't even remember which magazine it was, but nonetheless, I was amazed at how accurate it was. If you like them, read them for fun, don't try to make those predictions come to reality, they're just a pastime.

I think they can be fun and even useful as a guideline but people shouldn't base their lives on them.

I think it's really interesting that most responders to this post say they don't read or believe in Horoscopes. It seems to be representative of the way most people feel about them.  However, it was also interesting to me that many of the responders said that although they don't believe in Horoscopes they do see that people of particular signs fit the bill perfectly for that sign.  It makes sense to me that where things were at my particular time of birth in the world, universe, etc.  would have an affect on me.

I read mine every day here at FC, but just for fun. It amazes me when they're right on, but many times they couldn't be farther from the way it really is!
