...want to try and figure out who to blame for the shooting in Colorado?   Why aren't they mourning along with the families of the victims like normal people?  Some of these news anchors should seriously be fired for trying to link the shooter to the Tea Party, or blame this on Obama or whatever. When someone goes into a theater and starts randomly shooting people, that's called crazy, plain and simple.  Trying to blame anyone else for this is absolutely ridiculous.  Trying to do that only a few hours after the even happens is incredibly insensitive and stupid.  ABC should seriously consider firing several of their anchors.  I'm sure other networks should do the same.

Most naive or ignorant americans would rather listen to retarded fearmongerers than focus on the people who were hurt. Need proof? Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh have followings. That's not to say people aren't mourning the losses and ignoring the crap the media is selling. Someone who went to HS with me was killed in the shooting. It's a tragedy and I'm really pissed off about it. Some people just like to watch the world burn.

indeed i am sorry for your lost and it pains me too that the world is always in its public opinion mode and its never based on facts always feelings. that was very disgraceful and cowardly to go and open fire on a bunch of innocent people. we need to come to grips with reality and learn that we cant have peace until we find peace within. i still think that it was some sort of set up the way that went down. i am not as gullible as most americans i call it like i see it and im not afraid to speak on it. Truth will come to light!

It is not surprising.  Before The Dark Knight Rises came out you had people on both sides saying that the villain Bane in the movie was a reference to Bain Capital.  Everyone wants to further their agenda.  Times like these I try to stay away from the Nancy Graces, Rush Limbaughs, Bill O'Reillys, or Sean Hannitys of the world.  I have really no idea what they're saying now, but the the fact that James Holmes was allegedly a participant in an Occupy protest means that the conservative political pundits are going to have a field day.  What's lost on the media is that James Holmes was crazy and his rampage was going to happen whether or not gun control laws were better enforced and in spite of what political beliefs he may have had.

Radio/television/internet is a 24-hr gig these days.  The media has to fill the void some way--and if there aren't enough facts to do it with the bobbleheads have to make it up out of moonbeams or whatever else is available.  Is it any wonder so many don't know the difference between facts and opinion?  I don't think so.
