I still hold hands sometimes. I don't think it's weird at all. Holding hands is a sign of connection and affection.

Yep, I have been with my boyfriend for 10 years and not only do we hold hands both at home watching tv on the couch and out in public, but I still thank him with a kiss if we do a nice restaurant or he buys me something special while we are out.  Some people may not like public displays of affection, but I just want him to know that I will never take him for granted and that I so appreciate that he has shown me so much better than my ex-husband ever did.  I let him know that everything he does is appreciated if it is McDonald's or the Olive Garden.  Yes, we hold hands through the stores and whatever.  I think it's just nice and a good feeling.

:sad1:I used too!  The old saying that "you don't missed something until it's gone", well I missed holding hands with my husband not that he is gone.   :angel11:

We hold hands while walking in public all the time. As a matter of fact, we've been doing it so long, we'd feel strange if we did not.

Sometimes though don't recall that we held hands every time we were out together even when dating.  We have been married 37 years and have the same, actually deeper, passion and commitment we had in year one.

my wife and I have been married for over 39 years! We still hold and sometimes. while driving or just sitting close to each other.and you say you been engaged for six years. that sound like he is very interested in you and all.if you K who he would have married you before this six years engagement is all time! To be engaged and not plan the wedding date and ease he has had planned time to make up his mind. So if I would if I were you I would be looking for somebody that is truly interested in me and and marriage not just good time! !

I do all the time with my wife. it's normal for us to hold hands or have my arm around her and we've been married for 6 years, together for 2 years longer than that.  If I take her to a restaurant she gives me a kiss and thanks me, does the same when we go and buy clothes or shoes for her, even though the money actually belongs to both of us.  After all my years in Europe I note that people in the US are very restrained, maybe even ashamed, to show any affection in public compared to most places in Europe.
