Cartoons of the 80's
« on: July 13, 2012, 05:22:53 pm »
Does anyone remember watching Jem girls and pirates of dark waters? These where a couple of my favorite cartoons growing up as a child they don't make them like that anymore. :(

I loved Jem. Still do actually. I have seasons 1 and 2 on DVD. I've only seen on episode from season 3 unfortunately.

I loved both of those shows!  I occasionally sing the theme song from Jem.  :)  Would like to see them again.

I was more a fan of the Robotech saga - which I'm having fun re-watching on Netflix streaming right now.  I agree, they don't make cartoons the way they used to.  Still love watching a good Bugs Bunny cartoon...or Marvin the Martian!

The best, even though I grew up in the 90's. No doubt the 90's cartoons were pretty rad as well.

But you guys are right they do not make cartoons as good as they used to now you have cartoon characters showing body parts to children. I would love to see the jem girls again. I wonder if there is an online site I can watch them?

I got my Jem DVD set from Best Buy. And have you tried Amazon? They have practically everything on there.

It's funny that you mention that they don't make cartoons as they used to.  They've since brought back several 80s shows within the last decade and now including My Little Ponies, GI Joe, Thundercats, Strawberry Shortcake, The Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Pound Puppies, and He-Man.  There were rumors they were going to bring back Jem due it's popularity on Hub.  I'll be glad if they remake Dynosaucers or Silverhawks.
