Just finished playing a great game of FusionCash Tag where I couldn't help, but see where there might be, room for improvements.
In order for any game to be "fair" there must be rules, that apply to everyone, and the rules must be enforced.
1-I think there should be a designated thread monitor (DTM) whose sole responsibility is to communicate with players, post rules and other information and call players "out" when they don't conform to the rules. The DTM would monitor the thread from start to finish. It would be nice if the designated thread monitor was offered some type of incentive for taking on the responsibility of babysitting the thread. The DTM would be chosen by Kohler and report to Kohler. Even if Kohler wants to continue to monitor the threads, himself, there are suggestions below that might make it easier.
2-Kohler could start the game by posting the list of participants. The DTM wouldn't be able to "draw a line" through names on the list; however, the DTM could post a current list of active participants every time someone was eliminated. It would be the responsibility of all participants to follow the thread to "stay in" the game.
3-If the thread becomes cluttered with posts that don't belong there the DTM could "report to moderator" so that specific post could be deleted.
4-There should be set times that the 2 hour time limit would be strictly enforced (10 AM-10 PM). Kohler would decide the time zone and players would conform and adapt or they don't need to play. Players would NOT be allowed to "sneak" a tag in after the 2 hour limit just because Kohler was busy with other people, places or things. If the time tagged shows 10 AM and the player tags someone else at 12:09 PM they would be called "out" based on the time shown.
5-Between the hours of 10PM-10AM the 2 hour time limit would be lifted. Anyone tagged after 8AM the next morning would begin the day and would have the full 2 hours to tag someone else.
Everything in this post is a suggestion. Let's not make a big deal out of little things but offer ways to improve the game. It is important to understand that Kohler might not be able to please all of the people...all of the time.
