I never smoked, don't like it, but it's your choice.  My sister was a smoker for years and I tried and tried to get her to quit, and finally she did (with the help of the patch).  The bad part is.....the damage she did to her lungs.  She spent 2 weeks in the hospital and now has COPD and is on oxygen 24/7.   :sad1: :'(

I don't smoke cigarettes and never have. When I was young my mother went through a carton of cigarettes a week and I developed a fondness for the smell of tobacco which I hold to this day...some thirty five years later.  That smell, though, has it's time and place.  I don't thik that it should be at restaurants or near entrances to a building.  I don't enjoy the smell when I am trying to enjoy a good meal and I don't appreciate smelling like smoke when I go to work.  I went to a Panera's last week and several of the employees were on break, consuming cigarettes at one of the prime seating locations outside.  I found this to be inconsiderate and won't frequent that particular location again.

I quit smoking 5 1/2 years ago.  Best thing I ever done.  I smoked for 45 years.  I could have had a lot more money if I had never started.  But I have saved a lot since I quit.  I got where I could not breath good and would wake myself up at night coughing.  I don't do that anymore.  I have gained some weigh but not much.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I tried it when I was in high school (way back when). I dunno know why I did it...guess cuz my some of my friends did. After I stopped, never did like the smell and don't like breathing it when other people smoke. My hubby used to every once in a while..but he stopped when we got married :)  yeah!   ;D

I'm a smoker.  Quit a couple of times over the years but, was never able to stay quit.  I actually enjoy it.

Question:  Anyone ever try those "electronic" cigarettes they sell these days?  I was wondering if those might help with smoking cessation.

I am a smoker,  but when I am around people that don't smoke I use an electronic cigarette.  I do get alot of questions about the electronic cigarette.

I'm an ex smoker.  Quit over 15 years ago after my dad died from C.O.P.D.  and I developed asthma.  Now I can hardly be around it due to health reasons.  Be careful,  you only have one life. Oh and drinking isnt good either.  My sister died from Liver damage.  Take care everyone.

Nope, never have been, never will be and the smell of smoke gives me a headache and makes me stink.  Thankful that I grew up in a strict household.

I am not a smoker. I have smoked a handful of times, but that was at my old job that was super stressful. I have not smoked in several years (with the exception of hookah).

Drinking and smoking are BOTH bad, just for different reasons.  I was watching a show and this guy that smoked crack was explaining why he was better than a person that shot heroin and I was like 0_0 the whole time. People push for non smoking because there are some still ignorant of the damages it does to your health.  Second hand smoke can harm children or anyone in the vicinity of it and personally I cant stand the smell.  Nonetheless, if you want to smoke that's your right.

No.  I am allergic to cig smoke.  It makes me mad when people stand right at the door puffing on a cig and blowing smoke in everyone else's face.
