Yep! Never have understood why a person would even think about texting while driving. I was always tought that if the car is moving your eyes should be on the road. Seen on the news yesterday about the guy that was at a baseball game posting on FB with his phone when he got hit by the ball in the shoulder. It pays to pay attention in all situations I guess. Too many people spend too much time staring at their phones.

People seem to forget that less than 25 years ago we didn't have the option of using a phone while driving and most of us still managed to find help if we needed it without a cell phone. I try not to talk on th phone while I drive, not because it is a distraction (speaking on the phone is no worse than singing to the radio) but because I drive a stick shift. The only time I will look at or send a text is when th car is stopped (parking lot, red light...) and still there are quick answers. I still shouldn't do that.

I do not think it is wrong if a person can actually handle multitasking but of course the law has to apply to everyone.

Multitasking while you are driving is wrong. When you are driving, you are driving! If you need to do something else, pull over and do it. Eat your snacks, call, look at a map or any other task. Your safety and the safety of others should come first!

I just couldn't help but laugh at that....what a silly goose...how many people I know would give anything to have a baseball come their way!
