I always stop to pick up pennies and place them in my shoe I don't know why I put it in my shoe but a penny is a penny and they add up really quick...I was always told that finding a penny on the ground is just a simple reminder that your guardian angel is watching over you and yet some like you said is good luck which I say if it's head's up it's just a fortune tale but really finding a penny on the ground these days is just considered plain lucky cause everyone wants to pinch that last penny especially with a lot of people loosing their jobs and the prices of everything rising like it is.

I used to leave them for somebody who needed them more but now days it's very tempting.

YES, I WOULD STOP AND PICK UP A PENNY LIKE MY GRANDMOTHER HAS ALWAYS SAID THAT A PENNY COUNTS TOO. PENNY SPENDS TOO.

I would stop to pick up a penny if it was easy for me to. If I see any change I pick it up. It adds up and I always use my change.

I'll usually always stop to pick up pennies and other coins if I notice them.  Only time I don't is if I'm in a hurry or carrying a whole lot of stuff at the time.

I always pick up change I find on the ground.  Some people hate pennies.  I've had customers throw them in the trash can before.  Now I make them leave them for someone else to use if they need a penny... But it all adds up eventually.

What a waste of time! Someone told me they want to recall them and melt them down to use the metal for other useful purposes! It is not a bad idea!

My son seems to be the lucky one. While we were christmas shopping he must have found close to a dollar in change on the ground. Pennies, Nickels, Dimes and even a quarter. I guess it is because he is small and lower to the ground. or maybe just an eagle eye.

I sure would pick up a penny.  It all adds up!  Pennies make nickles, nickles make dimes, dimes make quarters, and quarters make DOLLARS!!!!  Well if there is anybody out there that don't want your pennies please by all means send them to me!!!!

I occasionally will pick up a penny. My husband gets mad if I try to pick up a penny that has the tail side up. A bit superstitious. lol
