I pick up pennies only if its the heads is up.  I always beleived in superstitious. They said its good luck if you find a penny with the head is up. You never know you could pick one lucky penny.

Definitely would pick it up, I cash out my coins quite regularly. Pretty amazing how much change you can accumulate over a few months.

Yes I stop to pick up pennies, because it's like a little game for me. Then I bring them home and put them in a special jar just fror candy treats. This is the only time I go off eating candy on my diet. Of course I still eat all the other stuff I should not. But not to many pennies out there and they don't purchase much. (First Post)

...The other day I was following a guy out of a grocery store and he dropped all of the pennies he had on the ground.  Made me wonder if he was trying to help the needy or maybe he just did not like carrying some much change.
...What do you think?  I have a friend who thinks it is lucky to find a penny, heads up.
...Peace be with you.  :) Della

Okay I will have to remember that one. Would do it anyway, because you never know when you might need a few. Until the penny is no longer legal tender. Or replaced in England the used to have some thing called "tupence" I believe. That was a two penny coin. Soon we may be using the nickle as the smallest valued coin

everyone has probably dropped all their change before. I would pick it up if I dropped it or help someone else if I could. It's a pain but it is money and there isn't much to be had right now

Yeah I'd probably pick up the penny. As they say, "A penny saved is a penny earned"! Plus, it might just be good luck!

I pick up pennies any time I see one.  Once bent over to pick up a penny and a few feet in front of me was $20.

I know, the same thing happened to me except I only found a $10 bill, but still, made me smile!

Sometimes I do. My sister will pickup ones that are tails and turn them heads up so it makes someone elses day - pretty awesome of her

That is so cool and very awesome of her!

I do pick up pennies and all coins. I save all my change in a tall empty salsa jar. Last time I cashed in just over $150  :)

I like pennies cuz they remind me of this poem:

Pennies From Heaven

I found a penny today
just laying on the ground
But it’s not just a penny
this little coin I’ve found

“Found” pennies come from heaven
that’s what my Grandpa told me
He said angels toss them down
oh, how I loved that story

He said when an angel misses you
they toss a penny down
Sometimes just to cheer you up
make a smile out of your frown

So don’t pass by that penny
when you’re feeling blue
It may be a penny from heaven
that an angel tossed to you

Yes I will pick up a penny, sometimes I find nickels and dimes, no hundred dollar bill yet, but I do save my coins and later will cash them in at a Coinstar or similer machine. Pennies do add up over time. Just check out the pennies you earn hear on FusionCash

Haha!  Call me CHEAP, but when I see money on the ground, I'm on it!  I had a nephew (RIP) who used to throw his change away.  I was right behind him calling him crazy and picking it all up, LOL!  In my world, EVERY PENNY COUNTS!

Well that makes perfect sense to me.  So if you ever see a $100 bill on the ground, and you don't see Benjamin Franklin's portrait facing upward, leave it alone and walk away, because that be plenty bad mojo.
