Just got back from out of town.  I missed the parade but am hoping to see the fireworks.

My husband and I spent the day with my brothers having a cookout and pool party. It is so extremely hot and dry we are staying in tonight and skipping the fireworks. Maybe we will make our own............

No cookouts happening here.  It is way too hot. Weatherman says that this is the hottest 4th of July we have ever had here. It is about 103.  No fireworks either,  They have been officially banned and many fireworks displays have been canceled.

I had to work today. But luckily for it being a holiday I got paid overtime 

And unfortunately at my apartment complex we cannot let off fireworks......... or grill. So me, my boyfriend and daughter went to his parents' house for burgers.

I didn't see any fire works but I had to work the 4th.  I am glad to have a job but at 71 years old it is hard to get up in the morning.  I went to bed early last night after going out to each with my daughter and son in law.  May God bless each of you and keep you safe.
