BBQ, watch tv and do some fireworks. I live in Chicago and we use to the Taste the day before but they don't do that anymore.

I don't know... It never occurred to me... I just know I'm going to be surfing the web for different deals and sales (I've already found a lot). I want to go somewhere to see fireworks or hang out with my friends, though, too.

Depending on the weather, I may just lay low and take it easy.  Anybody here live in the southeast?  In Georgia we set a record on Saturday with 106 degrees.

I am going to my brothers house for a pool party that all family members are invited to! I can't wait, I love being able to have some time to see family members that I don't get to see often enough! I hope everyone gets the opportunity to spend it with the ones they love!

It seems that the big thing is fireworks the night of the 4th. Then everyone has to get up and go to work the next day. I think we should celebrate 0n the 3rd and sleep in on the 4th like we do at New Year's. I don't do fireworks because I have to get up early the next day.

Not quite sure yet being in the middle of the week working the day before and the day after may just relax or try to hard when you have a nieghbor who makes his own fireworks and you have a dog that is terrified of the booms shaking her home
