WHEN MY KIDS WAS THAT AGE I WOULD MAKE THEM USE THE BATHROOM BEFORE THEY WENT TO BED. BUT THEY WET THE BED SOMETIMES TOO AND SOME NIGHTS I WOULDNT LET THEM DRINK ANYTHING BEFORE BED AND THEY DID GOOD. MAYBE IF YOU WAKE UP DURNING THE NIGHT WAKE HER UP TOO AND HAVE HER USE THE BATHROOM.

Don't let her drink anything within two hours of her going to bed.

My daughter was about that age when she just stopped.  They say some kids just take that much longer for their bladder / brain connection to finally mature.  There are some meds that supposedly help and we were thinking about that when the need went away.  You might have her checked for a bladder infection; my daughter is prone to that and when she has the occasional accident now that is usually the cause.  She is probably a very heavy sleeper; a friend used a bed wetting alarm for her son and it worked for him.  It's miserable especially when it comes to sleepovers. Good Luck!

My previous stepson was a bed wetter up until that age.  It seemed to make a difference with what kind of mood he was in when he went to bed.  And if he used the restroom before going to bed.  If he was in a happy good mood then there usually wasn't an accident.  But if he went to bed mad or upset, there was.  Seemed that stress played a part in his issue.  Just a thought, don't know what your family life is like...but maybe it is something to look at.

I can totally help with this!!  I had the same thing with my son at 10.  I went online and ordered an alarm that alerts the child when they begin to wet. It wakes them up and they can go use the potty.  I bought one and my son stopped in one week.  He had a couple accidents when school started back up because of a new schedule I believe so we put it back on and the next night he was back on track!  I wish I would have known this before.  It was a lot of years trying to hide this from his friends.   Hope this helps!!  I know it can be frustrating for both parent and child.

I used the same machine 60 years ago and it worked then too.

Your child may have a B vitamin deficiency. It happens a lot with little kids. See a doctor and a nutritionist. A lot of people sometimes even doctors will say that the child is lazy or to limit their fluid intake. There is a real issue here and it's a health issue. Her bed-wetting could be an early symptom of bladder or kidney issues. It could also be emotional issues. Most of all please be gentle with her and don't make her feel bad. This is embarrassing to her especially at her age. Depending on her size you may have her use some depends or something of that nature until you guys figure this out and that should help. God bless you and your child. :angel11:

My 8 year old still wets too. Stress seems to be a factor for her as well. I would talk to your pediatrician about it. They can help rule out any possible medical issues. If nothing, go for the alarm! Some kids just sleep too deeply.
