Rude People and Bullies Online WHY????

I don't have alot of time to spend on-line anymore, but for the time that I do---I can't say that I have encountered alot of rude people OR bullies on-line.  Also, some people get mistaken for being rude or "bullies" when actually they are just very "straight forward", they don't "beat-around-the-bush" or "sugar coat" things.  They are extremely honest and many times hurt other's feelings because many people can't handle the "extreme truth".

Remember when being online was friendly? No child molesters, sex offenders and rude comment posting people? Remember when you could LEARN something great online for FREE?? What happened to the internet? Why so many bullies and rude people instead of friendly chatters?

We have become a group of angry people online that loves negativity  instead of being a positive role model. 

They was there always we just didnt realize at that time what things to look for and still till this day they hide in shadows cause we dont know everything and their tactics. We are more aware now but still not more of knowledge of their preying.

In the beginning the online community was very small and limited, so of course there would be far less frequency of bullying among other factors. The online landscape has since changed and at an alarming rate, especially as people can connect wirelessly. There are still good people out there, but the inappropriately behaved people are often far more noticeable, especially when presented in the media.

I have noticed that most people who are rude or a bully, have very low self esteem.
If you don't pay attention to them, they will find someone else to bully.
I agree with the other posts- PRAY for those people. Maybe eventually they will get it!

While the rude person or bully is focusing on someone else, they aren't thinking about their own miserable life, so I think it makes it easier for them to accept their own situations because they aren't really using any energy to try to improve their own lives. They find it too easy to hurt others when if fact they are hurting also, and they can't realize that maybe if they stopped being idiots that they just may find some friends that could actually enrich their lives!

There have been rude people and buliies since the beginning of time, why not online??? They get a new forum, it's great for them, but we can shut it down and not take it anymore!!!

The anonymity of the internet bolsters the courage of cowards who would most likely not utter a peep in public.They have no life,or are not content with their life,so they take out their frustrations on normal people online.

Although there is a lot of negativity, there are also many many more positive things going on in the internet. Mean comments are just people "trolling" usually, you just have to move on because really it doesn't matter what they say. You can learn a lot of stuff for free everywhere like on YouTube. YouTube is a fantastic resource that is free to use and has virtually everything on it.

Because being rude online has become a trend and a fashion with the internet, there are whole sites meant to verbally abuse one another. Its called trolling, I don't agree with trolling but I know plenty of people that find a joy in it. Its a sick thrill as are many of the trends that will continue to grow as the internet does.
