No because if the will is not there then they are not going to do it, most kids don't potty train until 3 sometimes 4.

I'm not sure when kids should be potty trained but both mine were completely potty trained by a year old I had no problem as soon as they were walking we were getting them out of diapers but then again I used cloth diapers and had no washer so everytime we went potty they went or tried too lol

I have a 2 yr old boy and I know he's not ready to be potty trained. I'm not going to start potty training him until he's at least 2 1/2 to 3 yrs old. That's when I started with my other boys at least introducing it to them. You know when there ready b/c they'll want to try to go to the bathroom with u or say they gotta go or there diapers won't be as wet like there holding the bladder though out the day some hints like that.

my kids (who are grown now)  pediatrician was on the board of directors for the kosair childrens hospital. i was having trouble potty training my son, who was 2.  he told me to wait, until my daughter was 2 and he was 3 and train them together, becuase it doesnt do any good to force them when they are not ready.  i waited and trained them both together and it went great.  no fights, no accidents.

I keep my 15 month old granddaughter while her parents work; she started telling me when she pooh-poohed and taking my hand and pulling me to her bedroom so last weekend I bought her a potty chair.  I've sat her on it a few times a day just to get her used to it.  Sometimes I take her diaper off and sometimes not.  She has not used the potty chair yet but is getting comfortable with it.  I think she will be pretty easy to train and I'm just waiting on that light to go on for her.  She walked early and is already saying 2-3 words together so hopefully the potty business will be easy for her.  And me..lol

My son was potty training at the age of one. It is best to start them when they are young.

Each child is different my youngest is 2 I am working on potty training him but it his kind of rough going right now, he is never still for a very long. So its an up hill battle. My oldest one was potty trained before he even hit 2 years old.

Strange, Yes, we have to teach them. there are good childrens books that talk to a child about using the potty.
