Remember that presidential campaigns are won and lost state by state in the Electoral College, not in the nationwide popular vote, (just ask Al Gore).

Isn't he the guy who created the internet?  And invented global warming?  Or do I have him confused with man-bear-pig?

Nope.

And invented global warming?  Or do I have him confused with man-bear-pig?

"The hypothesis of man-made global warming has existed since the 1880s. It was an obscure scientific hypothesis that burning fossil fuels would increase CO2 in the air to enhance the greenhouse effect and thus cause global warming. Before the 1980s this hypothesis was usually regarded as a curiosity because the nineteenth century calculations indicated that mean global temperature should have risen more than 1°C by 1940, and it had not. Then, in 1979, Mrs Margaret Thatcher (now Lady Thatcher) became Prime Minister of the UK, and she elevated the hypothesis to the status of a major international policy issue."

That seemingly leaves just the obscure "man-bear-pig" concept.

Notice I used 'created' instead of 'invented'.  He did say "I took the initiative in creating the internet" and that isn't true, although the Gore Bill greatly assisted in funding, it didn't take any initiative (well maybe spending tax payer dollars -- but for something actually useful and worthy for a change) or create anything.  Basically it was a follow up of a petition by some UCLA professors.

I still remember global freezing and the coming ice age.  I hear it is back in fashion lately too.

On another topic, I found a funny clip you might like:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI9ImScQGAo

Yep, I did notice that distinction and I recall the UCLA petition, (the original "internet" was more of a collegiate and government 'intranet' which was not initially open to the general public).  That funding-boost helped expand that kernal into the 'net beanstalk we have come to know today.  Gore did not, however, create or invent the internet, (despite the out-of-context misquoting which ensued).

Well, such things as ice ages take ... ages to happen.  What, you were expecting next week maybe?

Doesn't that exemplify the rally-cry of the xtian-right though? If we're going to politically-campaign, here's a cheering section I support:

Voting is a civic duty.  I will not share who I will vote for, that is a private matter.

I guess I will just vote for the right man to tackle the job of getting us back to a God=fearing country like our founding fathers gave us.

Many of the "founding fathers" were Freemasons.  Several Freemasons of the upper degrees, (not just the 33rd), held to much different ideals than the 'outer court' lesser degrees who veiled Freemasonry superficially in xtianity.

Good call. I will definitely vote, but plan to keep it to myself, too.

Since there's not too much difference between Romney and Obama, I'm writing in Ron Paul. Yeah I know he won't win, the media has seen to that, but I feel he's the only guy that has a true understanding of what ails the economy and how to fix it, the other two jokers still think that we can spend our way out of trouble.

This person must have registered as a candidate in advance, in every state in which he intends to run. If you write in the name of an unregistered person, your vote will not count. Even if he is ...

You're right Falcon, but there's no way in Hell I'm voting for either Romney or Obama. Those two are completely bought and paid for and work for the corporations. The biggest donor's to Ron Paul was military personnel, I'll gladly back them up vs backing up Goldman Sachs. Yeah, it may be an uncounted vote or what not, but at least I'm not supporting the corporate puppets.
