My father name me after two French girls he met while serving in the army during WWII.

I was named after my maternal grandfather and a paternal great uncle which sounds like it was sort of a compromise.  And after that I think my mom gave up with the naming stuff because my two brothers are named after folks on my Dads side of the family.

I was named somewhat after my fathers mother...she passed away giving birth to my aunt. she and the baby died. Anyway her name was Marcella, but since the first born was a boy (Delfondo) I was named Marcelle. Not to many people have that name these days, but when I researched it the name was popular during the 1800's

My name is Natasha and I was picked out of a baby book of names it bothers me because my other 3 siblings have meanings in there names, named after people that kind of stuff and middle name marie not meaning there once again!!! Makes me mad im the one picked out of a book =(

I got my name because it's a variation of my father's middle name, Daunby.  My mother really liked the name--but, she almost didn't marry the fella.

I was wondering about names we got from parent's b/c I just learned where mine came from. Mom & Dad gave me my name after the daughter of one of the President of the of the USA. Everything was fine with the name but why did they have to pick it from a Republican president!??

My mother named me after a real close friend that was dying of cancer.

I am named after my mom and dad. My mom wanted to name me what my sisters name is but my dad wanted me named after my mom so that's my story. I've asked my mom if i was supposed to be named what my younger sister is named and then say my younger sister had my youngest sisters name, what would have my youngest sisters name have been??

That's a good story as I think all names given usually have a good/funny story.  My parents, or at least tammy, gave me my name after one of the charlie's angels. The original.  Jaclyn Smith.  Pretty crazyyyyy.

i got my name from my mothers cousin and the bad thing about it is that they didnt know how to spell it can youjust hear people calling you every thing except the right thing i stoped answering when they said it wrong.
